I'd say more like 1/3 of an airbox Didn't use any of it, just needed part for a mock up and then it went in the trash.

This pic is just the latest stripping. Just for laughs, I'll post a pic of all of the parts later.

You know, here in SoCal they call me Sawzall

Any help would be appreciated.
ok, found it.

The hose with fitting parts, conected, measured from flush to the reservoir to the middle of the banjo on the shock is 220mm exactly. A hell of a lot shorter than I remembered. Hope that helps.

Thanks gravel seeker! It's much shorter than I thought too. Was yours from an ABS model? or was it a non abs model with the reservoir under the fuel tank?

2001 - non ABS with the reservoir behind the engine, infront of the tank (not on the RHS frame)

Question Vibrating grips

Is there any way to lower the vibration in the handle bars? I have new Mefo tires to put on which might help.

Get rid of the crappy stock bars and mount up some Protapers. Much fatter bar and Aluminum does not transfer vibration as much.

650 dAKAR

Brand new owner of an 03 Dakar. added it to my stable so my 07 R1200Rt would not get lonely. Looking forward to some off road riding to satisfy my old dirt bike longings.
Bike has an Olin shock, center stand, with about 40K on it
Definitely in the market for a new windscreen
will keep an active eye on this thread

i was thinking of doing this... would different risers / mounts be needed to be able to install the fat-bars, or do they fit in the stock mounts? if something else is needed... what?

Has anyone done this and put on a set of good handguards like the Acerbis at the same time? Wondering about windshield interference issues.

I'm tempted to stick w/ 7/8" bars with risers, but I want to explore my options first.
