TomTom the stock headers are very restrictive, yes swap out to something that flows some volume. On the dyno when you swap out to aftermarket headers any aftermarket headers the gain is 2 to 4 hp and it holds power a lot further up the revs as well. The stock headers fall away early but aftermarket hold power and torque longer.Where you'll notice it is the bike is quicker revving under load and there'll be more overrev.
I'd actually do the header swap before the carb swap mate,as it's further up the road mod wise when the stock carb shows it's weaknesses.Just rejet to suit and the B53E needle from memory is richer? somebody.
Cheers dood.

So what's an 05 XRR worth these days? Reason I ask is that I've found anther bike I'd like to put in the shed and I can't justify having 2 large dirt bikes sitting there doing nothing. It's got 11000km, acerbis tank, concept seat, renthals, bashplate, bark busters and 2 sets of wheels plus all the standard gear it came with. Any ideas? Only toying with it at this stage.
