Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO - what a ride!"

Sean-0, I have a large Z-Technics screen off of a F800R that you can maybe cut and bend to fit better on your bike. It's clear too so you can see that rock and gully you are just about to hit.

Or there is this!

Hid in the stock housing is not road legal.
Most of the time hid fitted in a reflector and lens not designed for hid can be a bit scketchy with beam pattern and normally the low beam cut off is way wrong and oncoming vehicles end up copping a shit load of glare plus the scattered light reflects off close road sign realy bad which can efect your distance vision.

its all down to adr really ....i know i have other things on the bike non adr but im trying to keep it to a minimum ....the stock light is ok when run from a battery ...the spot is wired as a spot light on a car switched independently and wired to the high beam on the bike so that is ok i think .
Not so true guys,
HID's can be legal / are legal.

Have to disagree on your theory with HID on sign reflection and running HID in stock lamps Joe.

I am not sure Sean what type lamp goes into the 8in race light but my guess is the lamps i have seen would fit, but a simple call to Bajadesigns would be the go.

The bulbs i am thinking of using in my stock style headlight which takes a H4/9003 type bulb. These bulbs normally have dual filaments inside. The high low beam effect is created by moving the light bulb mechanically.
And they produce 3 times the amount of lighting output than the bulb i am using at the moment which is a 100watt dual filament bulb.
The ones i am talking about use around 35/55watt input.
