Does anyone here have comprehensive insurance on their pig? I'm currently with AAMI but looking for a better agreed value to cover some of the mods, so just wonder what other companies are decent?

I just renewed and did the same exercise. Insuremyride does high agreed value insurance and so does QBE, but the price makes it stupid (eg. to add $2k to the bikes value you pay an extra $60 per month!).

My bike has a high value (replacement of special parts) but I settled with another year of market value insurance because $20.00 per month is a lot less than $80 per month. The cheapest for around $4.5k cover seem to be AAMI and Swan.

I gambled but you may not want to...

Thanks guys, I'm going to give Shannons a call and see what they can do.

I don't want to pay more than $30ish per month. I'm not so worried about crashing it, it's just that I've got almost double the agreed value in it if it gets nicked.

Just puller the chain off and the sprocket has a lot of movement on the shaft....

Your informed advice appreciated.

I put a 525 chain and sprockets on, the counter sprocket has a larger contact area. haven't adjusted my chain since.

Hey guys I've got a bit of a misfire at 1/4 throttle.

I've read that this can be caused by running lean but I have the 68S Pilot.

Turning the mixture screw doesn't seem to make much of a difference to idle, so I assume that means it's still lean?

Should I look at replacing the coil as well?

cheers

Tech help

Just got back from the OCR and servicing the xr. noticed the counter sprocket was a bit loose on the spline so ordered a new one and it fits a lot tighter.

While I was down there I noticed about 1.8mm in and out movement in the counter shaft . Ie you can push or pull the shaft in and out 1.8mm.

Should I be worried??

Thxs

Sounds like fun chaps. Put me down for a fuck yeah on this one.

Just got back from Cape York yesterday. Bike is looking a little forlorn, but still working good. Will get some pics up and a bit of a story soon.
