St. Patricks Day Street Ride in North Ga. Tomorrow

Anybody interested in skipping some work and riding street tomorrow afternoon? (3/17) The Plan: Meet at Moto 400 www.moto400.com at 11:30 am. Ride-Lunch-Ride. Plan to ride north - Helen area, 180, 60, 52 etc. and backroads in between.

If you need to reach me PM me today or call me there in the AM - ask for Mike M. with the red Suzuki SV. I'm meeting someone there early for a business meeting (this is much better than golf - meet then go ride!)

We plan to ride an easy going, but spirited pace. Of course, you can ride any pace you want.
4 of us are in so far.

Great idea, according to the weatherman it should be some fantastic weather compared to what we've seen over the past few days, Mike. If I wasn't working tomorrow I'd be all over this. Y'all have fun though and becareful. Post plenty of pics for us.

Mike, I might show up, depends on a few things. If I show up you know I could make it.

What sort of bikes we got? Pure street riding? No dirty shtuff?

mostly streetbikes, but at least two other big dual sports I know of. You guys could peel off and ride some dirt and meet up later if you want.

Flux, DirtyDirty, RichardU, Gretchin, John and Promazda - good to meet y'all. Great to see you again Jimncin - thanks for taking the photos. Phil - good to see Vic out ridin. Barbecue Lunch was good and the lady was nice, but I think something happened when they were slaughtering the pig? Maybe he got away for a while?

We made up for lost time and put in a lot of miles after lunch. 75 north to 180. 180 to 60. 60 to Dial. Dial to Newport Rd, Doublehead Gap, Roy, some small twisty roads, Burnt Mountain, 136, Steve Tate, 4 Mile Church rd, Conn Creek, 372 and then backroads home.

Jimncin said he will put up some pics later. Time to ride some dirt!

Damn I must have been either just ahead or behind you guys. I left moto 400 about 1 and headed straight up 400 till the end. Cut through to 129, hit alt 75 Richard B. Russell 180 and the same route as you guys the rest of the way. Hate that I missed ya, but still had a blast.

You guys really suck!!! I'm stuck up here in Montreal looking at piles of snow and you're out riding on the first week I've traveled since mid-December!!!

I'm just gonna walk over the pub next door and see if they have any green beer left!

Glad y'all had a good time, someone's gotta do it!

BTW, who is this promazda person??? I'm looking for a good independent Mazda shop on the North side of ATL.

Cheers,

A Great Day to Ride

I left the house a little early to go pick up the N. Ga Tag before meeting up at Moto 400.

missed it again.

A good mix of bikes and people came out to enjoy a fabulous day riding in the Georgia mountains.

Having some fun in the curves.

A very fast KLR, or slow picture taker. Sorry.

On the way to lunch a faint whimpering sound was heard coming from the woods. Upon further inspection this lonely bike was uncovered.

A recovery team was formed...

and the bike followed us to get some lunch.

Always an adventure to be found on a mikem9 ride.

Hanging out by the river, RichardU and Gretchen. Nice to meet you!

Nothing better than a father and son enjoying the day.

It was great seeing old friends and meeting new ones today.
