Great RR. Thanks for the great pictures! :) I have one question: Was the handling of the Transalp easy or heavy in this terrain?

Thanks for the props. The Trans Alp wasn't really a chore to run around Iceland, but I thought that the XT was a much easier bike to deal with on the "F" roads. So I guess it depends on what you want to ride while you are there. If you are sticking to the pavement, the Trans Alp is a fine ride. If you are going to ride the "F" roads, you'll be happier on the XT.

Hi Mike,
thanks for your answer. I fear that the Alp wasn´t the easiest bike for this trip. At the moment I ride a street bike (CB-500S) and want to go to Iceland in the next few years. Now I look for the "right" bike which I can use for my rides in my home at the weekend and for such trips.
