The riding is awesome here in East TN as it is right across the line in North Carolina. I just moved here last fall and don't regret it. What area are you headed to?

It looks like the wife will be working in Maryville so we will rent a place for now in the area and look around for a house or some land. We should get things finalized next week then the moving begins! I have a bunch of stuff but from what I remember there are plenty of storage places down there.

I will check out the facebook page, thanks!

I live close to Maryvile (pronounced Mur-ville)..practice, practice .

Lots of great forest roads and trails in the area and of course, twisties like the Dragon, Cherohala Skyway, Foothills Parkway...etc.

Touch base when you get settled.

Didn't find the exact sign, so the tag is still active for now...heading back since I think you put it down the actual trail. Here are a few pics of my hunt to give you a laugh. I'll fix formatting once I'm at home.

The last pic has real entertainment value. Hope nothing broke on you or your steed. It's another reason why riding alone isn't smart...I know! Are those trials tires?

Were you in Hot Springs today?

Oh and from your pics it looks to me like you turned off 25/70 to the Wolf Creek trailhead/parking area, which is the wrong end unless you ride the trail all the way through.

DAMN...got bruced after the shit I went through today. >.<

Well, here's mine after limping home. I'm actually glad you grabbed it. I don't think I'll be riding for a few days. Sometime over a beer and a map I'll show folks the route I ended up taking to get the tag. Let's just call it interesting for now.

Yeah, I grabbed some food and water at Spring Creek, uploaded the first set of photos, and sent some mail to a friend so he'd know where I was digging around since no one else really knew where to come looking for me.

Yeah..no real way to know that until you get out there and talk to some folks. I'm all for getting out and riding, you can see the pics, but only being able to grab tags with previous knowledge is lame. It's like the previous tag, some random ass generic sign on the side of a trail with no other info...yeah. The fact hat it was a couple hundred feet from a tag two weeks prior isn't much better.

I'm gonna log out since I don't have any cheese for my whine.

Last pic for fun. This crossing was deep enough that it clipped the bottom of the pannier on the down stream side.
