As far as I know, it is the only remaining one in TN. The northern approach looked like this today.
Cool location. Where I found details they mention at least one other. The other one they mentioned wasn't the one I found listed for Memphis. I may have to take a ride. For me it shows about an hour and a half each way avoiding interstates like I do.

Cool, sounds like you have it dialed in. Nice ride from the Dandridge area too.

Oh yeah, I know I've got the right spot.

I was going to ride out after I ate lunch which I've just finished BUT. My windows are being pelted with rain that isn't supposed to be out there. It's coming from the direction I need to go.

When I was out grilling lunch the sun was beating down so hard I had to put a hat on.

Hope the rain holds off. If you make it, the southern approach looks more like this, but the water is really high right now so there is less bank exposed.

Doesn't have to be a dual sport bike either. Anything can make it.

Now that I've made it home alive I can post more.

When I got there there were some folks lined up. I pulled around uphill and waited for the ferry.

Here it comes just past the trees.

Once everybody's on board he cranks off backwards then does this interesting dance to reverse the boat alongside the barge that serves as a ferry.

The ramps or at least one of them really needs to be readjusted for the higher lake levels. I was aboard the bike when we landed but this end of the ramp was just jammed into the side of the hill.

Another shot of my bike in the same spot on the ferry but the boat in the opposite position from the first pic.

Can't complain a bit about a fun free ferry ride. I was up on the pegs riding off to make the harsh transition. Some SUVs in front of me had a tough time.

Great riding out there and fun tag to pick up! Coming up next is my file photo tag.

New TAG

New Tag for y'all East TN folks.

This large home would make a suitable abode for a charming lady from below the Mason/Dixon line. In fact it's named for her.

She sits nearly surrounded by Douglas Lake. Nice views. Good spot for a cot and a meal nowadays.

I definitely don't want to make it tough to locate. I'm more into giving you a fun destination.

What would you call one of those graceful ladies from down there and what would that large house with lots of property and outbuildings be called? The clue about a cot and a meal has to do with this no longer being just a private ..uh.. home.

DC? Ugh. I feel for you. I moved here from there 2 years ago and barely ever go visit friends anymore up there. Every time I do someone tries to kill me with their car.
