Enjoy the ride
Many weekends were spent in that area as a child. Wish I could grab this one, but it's gonna be a busy week.

I decided, over the winter, if I was going to ride 6 to 8 hours in a day, I'd press on and there would be palm trees where I park the bike for the night.

I've never been to Catoosa...does look like a good ride, though.

I found myself in Crab Orchard on a ride Saturday and remembered this tag but poked around and couldn't find it. I ended up in Fairfield Glade I think and wife was getting tired and wanted to head for home. I checked on the map late and I was probably a stones throw from the tag! Doh! Oh well it was a nice day for ride.

You were really close, I came out to Fairfield Glade.

I tend to take unintended detours when I'm up there, the lack of any markings keeps it an adventure

Hard to see now that the trees have leaves...

And the new tag: still time to warp down here and grab it.

Well, senior CRK left some low hanging fruit I could not resist. My rt is in the pic to the right of center.

New tag in a few minutes.

Quite a few miles south and west of the time warp, there is a road that shares the name of a famous assassin. Nice views as you gain altitude on the 'dome', traffic is rare and there are multiple loose traction options for the descent. What's not to like?

There was quite a bit of traffic in there today and I wasn't sure I could stop on the bridge and get a photo or two off before I was in someone's way. That pic was just around the corner from the bridge. I ended up hiking up above the table and looking down trying to find a decent angle. It's really bushy up there and just not really a good pic to be had.
