Yes I've hiked most of the Shoreline Trails and even help build some of the sections. All are easy enough for the kids and are well marked and maintained. They aren't like hiking the trails in the mountains (steep)...more like a pleasant walk in the woods along the lake shore for the most part.

There are pdf maps that you can download from tellicowater.org, also. Yeah, I know that's a big clue, but I don't care. It's all about riding...not holding onto a tag. Well, that's the way I see it.
Looks like it would be a nice ride from my house but the weather doesn't look like it'll hold off for me to do that.

..... so a boat can pass under.....

Thanks for the info. From what I've seen, it looked like a nice stroll to take the kids on. And it's a heckuva lot closer than the smokys.

At a glance, anyone can see a boat tall enough to come close to hitting the bridge would also be too wide and would draw more water than the creek has to offer.
The only boats that could even reach this point in the creek would be canoes, kayaks and personal water crafts.

The engineers at TVA must have been bored to death and this gave them something to do.

grab. hard to pass up the ones in the back yard.

From the top.

There is enough depth even this time of year to get a runabout under there, just nowhere to go. The property just up stream has a boat ramp though.

A little creative saw work on the landing.

Only a couple miles to the east (or a 30 minute ride if you are creative) this little church sits near a misty valley (appropriately named today) and a hill of marble. Lot's of things in the area carry the same name. Cloyd lent his name to a creek, lane, road and this church.

Glad you were able to weather the weather enough to grab the tag. Good to have you back!

The new tag is in keeping with the season and the last tag.

Maybe the sign is all you'll need to locate the church...at least that's where we will start. I'll add That it's not on Mt Pleasant Rd., but it is on a Pleasant ____Rd. near there.

Bump/clue: It's in a county that has the same name as the fifth President.

And it's also visible on google street views. I confirmed its location, but between the crappy weather and my schedule, just haven't had a chance to get out.

Got out yesterday for a while and snagged this tag. Great day to run around in the citico area while some of the normally closed roads are still open.

Looks like a couple of changes are going on at the little church.

new one coming up.

Wooden bridges aren't too plentiful anymore, but this one was rebuilt fairly recently. It crosses the tracks very close to where a famous ski boat is manufactured, or at least used to be. The family involved in that business built a lake near this bridge to have a place to ski.

Good grab Kenny, I was heading that way this week.

Megan said you were down that way Saturday, where's the other 2 bikes?

For those who couldn't find it, the church is off Citco rd. towards Turkey Pen.

I was feeling a little sketchy, so I only took a short ride on it. Citico is on my short list of places to test ride it, if only the wallet wasn't so empty so I could think about some "improvements" mostly respringing for me.

It's going to be too cold for me today, and I'm still thinking of my next placement.
