New Tag

The word on the building is "Apalachia"

And the clue is this is where the water from Apalachia Dam is turned into electricity.

P.S. The bridge on the left is kept locked on the north side of the river so don't attempt to ride to this tag from the north side of the river.

knowing where it is isn't the issue, knowing how to get there and the weather might be.............for me time is an issue.

It is a nice ride, and no you can't ride across the bridge

New Tag Question

Can you come in from Turtletown, or is that the side with the closed bridge?

The bridge is a hiking bridge close to the hiawasee put in.
There's not a bridge going in from Farner

Yes you can ride in from Turtletown the bridge is just a foot bridge most likely built for maintenance workers since the other side of the bridge has a paved dead end road. The road not to try is North of Reliance on the north side of the river. The road just south of Reliance will also get you to the tag.
P.S. I will also add this bit of information there is no pavement from Turtletown to the tag or from Reliance it is all forest service roads.

East Tennessee Tag-O-Rama!

I would love to get this one. I've taken most of the forest service roads in this area but not that particular rd, Hint it's off of McFarland Rd. Maybe someone can grap it this weekend.

Not sure how to play this game, but I've been there several times. I love those gravel roads back there.

Let me welcome you to the game.

From the first post in this thread

The game is simple, the rules are easy, the goal is to get people out riding.
With the goal in mind, please dont make the clues so hard that we have to surf longer on the net than we have to ride to get the tag.

So here are the rules .

#1 FILE PHOTOS CAN ONLY BE USED TO PLACE A TAG NOT TO GET THE TAG.
#2 THE PHOTOS OF THE TAG SHALL BE AS CLOSE AS THE PREVIOUS TAG PHOTOS AS POSSIBLE. That means that the tagger needs to make sure that his photo can be shot by anyone on any bike. The taggers bike needs to be in the photo. So I think that if a road is goverment maintained and legal to ride than it is fair game. Gravel or not. Also tell us where the tag was.
#3 NO WHINING ABOUT IT BEING TOO FAR. If you think it is too far go get it and bring it back to your part of the state. Trust me someone will.
#4 TAG MUST BE FINDABLE. If a tag is standing too long you will be asked to post a clue or a new tag. New tag must be posted no later than 24 hrs of the posting of your tag. You will forfeit your tag to the previous tagger. Lets keep the game moving.
#5 HE WHO POSTS FIRST WINS. It dont matter if you got to it first, He who post first wins the tag. Laptops with cell modems and smart phones really help here.
OK I believe that that is it. So lets have fun and ride safe. All rules are subject to change if the larger part of the inmates think that it should change. Lets go play TAG!!

So your pictures don't grab the tag, Wrong side of the river.

nice try though, it's a nice ride to the other side

We did come from the other side of the river, just walked across the bridge (yes it was unlocked). The bikes are parked in the gravel parking lot on the same side of the building, just no picture of the building.

We debated on riding across the bridge just to get back to the paved roads quick, but decided not to in case the TWRA happened to stop in.

Ok, It looks really similar to a point from the paved road, It's hard to see the road with the sun angle.

I think it might be the TVA or Forest Service cops to think about there.

I'll agree that you got the tag.

So where to next?

If RUSTINPEACE accepts it, I think the tag moves. Seems like that should be the deciding factor in this instance, though the rules are bent.
