Less than 8 miles from the nearest gas station (Shell).

The road has the same name as the VFD.

That should do it...now, go ride to it.

I've been enjoying this thread and the google map with the tag locations is great. I just got back from the Knoxville area after a 5 day recon trip to the area. My wife and I are planning to escape Flugistan and become residents of Dragons Lair territory. I don't want to hijack the thread but good to see some nice Dual Sport riding areas.

There are a couple of regulars in this thread from the Dandridge are who may be able to help you out. I'll let them volunteer on their own if they wish. I would but I'm in Johnson City. If your plans change and you need a place to park a truck/motorcycle I have a couple of options in Johnson City for you.

Back at the ranch...

Okay, I found your fire department, and Rafter Rd was one damn fine ride, regardless of the slick roads, snowshowers, and frozen skyway...
Rafter Volunteer Fire Department, Rafter Rd, northeast of Tellico Plains TN.

The new tag, for lack of more time, is close to home. It's a full-size model of the US Army Corps of Engineers logo, part of the US's first national battlefield park. This one oughta be easy.

Glad you grabbed the tag, AB. I thought I was going to have to put a RIP sign on the thread.

Rafter Rd is a fun ride, usually, in warmer weather.

Now that the tag is down your way maybe some of you city boys will sling it around the area and give me an excuse to come down your way...need to get away from all the bango music echoing these here parts.

That could almost be a dual tag.

If only I didn't have to work today. That one is directly behind my office. Did you see the bike with the old Ford flathead V-8?
