I am hoping with that bike he puts the next tag somewhere that stretches the definition of maintained road... lol.

Ok, call me clueless... unless that is some brilliantly concealed code in the wordplay of his comment... ruling out one county does not narrow it down much...

Nice work. I got to ride today but all I managed to grab was a new caliper for the wife's car.

Even though the trestle is not in a remote area, its the kind of place that is out of the way so to speak...at the end of a two mile turnoff from a National Forest Road. Really neat pretty spot around the trestle with high rock cliffs etc. To get there, turn left at the west end of the bridge that is under construction on 25-70, then 3-4 miles up that dirt road, turn right at the Weaver Bend sign. You can go on straight through from that turn and it becomes a one lane paved road, neat forest area with lots of rock outcroppings, and goes up to US 70. Not the best detour around the bridge. The two mile road going down to the trestles is narrow and ends up in a field like area, the train came through just as I was about to cross the tracks, moving fast, no whistle so beware if you go down there. There were some creepy like people down there drinking and I did not like the idea of having to get my bike at a dead end to take the photo as it's narrow and ends at a drop off old bridge abutment...neat tag though, They seemed very curious about me but kept their distance. I just did not like the possibility of being blocked in by someone who might think they outnumber me, but I always pack heat going into such places alone.

It was fun to go down there but I think I'll take a group next time or more firepower New tag later tonight.

New TAG

A three digit NC highway totaling 10 turns into a 2 digit TN highway totaling 7....just inside the great state of TN, this roads goes up Paint Creek and ends up here at the new tag

Which is very close to another tag I set maybe a year ago that was this:

And half way between this old tag and the new tag is this: BTW, the tower in this photo is NOT the tag tower and the tag tower is well on beyond this one.

Now, looking at the tag shot, which is barely inside TN, my bike is in the background and the other bike, identical to mine, belongs to a friend. We went around the upper side and behind the tower fence in the background and followed a pig path just up the bank through the laurel thicket and found this view:

I had several other good tags but after looking back through this thread, it appears that most of them had been used at some point so anyway, this is a good ride and the last section of about a 1/4 mile is "unimproved" you might say but not too bad...have fun. Should be good clear weather this week for this.
