Brake Stutter on '06 GoldWing, nonABS

Occasionally at 40mph and up, when I apply the foot brake, which of course is linked to both front and rear, I get a little bit of a stutter, shudder, or chatter from what feels like the rear brake. It's not an ABS bike. It goes away quickly and does not happen every time.

Is anyone else experiencing this and does anyone have a fix?

Possibly a warped disk!

I kinda thought the same thing, but once the pulsing stops but brake still applied, it seems to run true. Also it does not happen on every brake application. ??

Could be a rough spot on the disc. When you really heat up the pad some of the pad material may have transferred over to the disc, you will not be able to see or feel it. Try scuffing the hell out of it with a scotchbrite pad or medium/fine sandpaper using a circular motion. You could also do this with the pad material as well. Car brakes sometimes build up a layer of gunk on them and back up and using the brakes will "clean" them. Hard to do with a bike, especially a goldwing.

The Wing should be easy (One bike with reverse) You can use the brakes (gently) while in Reverse. Never had that brake problem.
