Not quite new here, just returning under a new name. I was bantam67 but I'm better known on some other forums as OB1 so I thought I would change to OB1UK for this forum.

Originally from Lincolnshire, I moved to Hull for university, then Newark and Hong Kong before settling in Suffolk some 10 years ago.

I have had too many bikes (according to my family) and I'm currently riding my 2011 Triumph Tiger 800XC with a 1956 BSA B31 project in the shed.

I've been lurking on the forum for a few months while planning my trip to the USA.
Currently out on the road here now and loving it. Staying with and meeting fellow American ADV riders.

I usually ride a bandit between Reading and Oxford, but I had to sell it to fund the trip.

I'll be back in September and definitely willing to meet up with a few of you guys when I get a new bike.

Ian, it was great having you here. I enjoyed the ride on Skyline Drive. Here is a link to the NW Virginia tag game you participated in.

good luck with the rest of your trip!

Unfortunately it doesn't seem that popular with British riders. It's a great forum though, and if you're looking to do anything in the US then it's definitely the place to be.

I have been told that horizons unlimited is a good place for information for adventure riders in the UK. But from my experience in the US, ADV is a much more social group, for both rides out and drinking. :)

Hi PhoenixFlames. There is a group of riders from East Anglia that keep in contact and meet up from time to time. Some of them are members on this as well as other well known and some less known forums.

Let me know if you want/need to make local contacts.

Hi OB1UK

I would love any groups or contact information you have for people In east anglia.

The touring side of biking is something I really would like to get into and any experienced local riders who could give advice etc would be great.
