Craft breweries are your friend. Think of it as the small locally owned bike shop that is always there when you need a hand. You've got quite a few good ones up your way. You can find them all on your state's brewers guild website.

Now back to Urals and video. Just out of curiosity, what do you use to edit your videos? I've taken a lot of footage on the Go Pro, but when it comes time to editing it into something presentable, I tend to get frustrated and quit.

Didn't make the CRAP rally, been up in the mountains awhile. Would've enjoyed talking with Mrs. Donkeys, saw a picture of the cargo hack that got posted from Sanford.
Love the video. Riding with friends...........
The joys of craft beers and home brewing are understated. A fine beer to top off a fun afternoon riding is about as good as it gets.

Well, yeah, I know what good beer is, but I was at a corner store in East Podunk and I don't wanna haul bottles over rocky trails. Stella did just fine.

I use Final Cut X to edit video. I also employ PluralEyes and Apple's Compressor. An outboard, fast hard drive helps, too, if you're shooting in HD.

Pictures taken yesterday using an iPhone edited with camera + app. I thought they turned out pretty well. I rode over to my buddies farm while taking my trailer to my property. Could not have asked for a better day to ride. No wind perfect temp. Just beautiful.

Got it!

Finally got my first Ural/first sidecar yesterday,a bare bones 2012 Patrol T with just thirty klicks on the clock.Talk about new experiences and steep learning curves!I rode for three hours and about 150 kilometers.
The first half hour I thought "I'll be lucky if this POS doesn't kill me in the next ten seconds, and if I turn right going faster than 5 kph I just know I'll instantly snap roll left".Adrenaline flowwed like water!
The next hour and a half got progressively better as the nut holding the handelbars loosened up and learned to anticipate and compensate for the rigs reaction to nput on the controls.Hmmmm, maybe I'll survive after all.
The final half hour actually got to be enjoyable-managed to keep it faairly straight and in the correct lane, got more cofident with right hand turns, and actually used throttle and brakes to help steer-just a little, and just a couple of times, but I'm learning!I might get to really like this after I get some more(Maybe a LOT more)miles logged!
I'll post a pic as soon as I figure out how
Tom

Congratulations Tom. It sounds like the previous owner scared themselves in only 30 KMs. Damn, I'd think that is what a dealer would put on it setting it up.

Hobbomock-Yup,Boxborough,but you didn't ride this one-it was in a warehouse in NJ.
Had it out again yesterday, really starting to get the hang of using the throttle and brakes to help steer.Takes a lot of the effort out of it.Practice makes perfect!

Thermos-Thanks-the facial muscles are going to get a work out, what with smiles of satisfaction from learning new tricks, smiles of enjoyment on good days, and the grimaces of pure fear while learning!

I'm going to the UralNE rally next weekend-figure it's a great oppurtunity to pick up a lot of pointers from folks that have been at this a lot longer than me.Maybe I'll see some other inmates there.

Speaking of learning new tricks,im still trying to post pics. One of these days I'll get it right.
Tom
