Clamps
Been busy with the 3D designing today!
![]() Clamp option 1: ![]() Clamp option 2: ![]() ![]() If I'm unable to find enough of clamp type 1, that are the identical, I'll only use clamp type 2. If you don't want to attach a mirror to it, just flip it around so the thread for the mirror show downwards! schattat screwed with this post 06-13-2009 at 10:55 AM |

Software Questons + Case News
I still have some open questions for you guys regarding some of the extra features to be included in the Tripmaster.
- How would you display the difference between trip A and B? {Remember, the entire unit is only limited to 4x 7 segments, 1 decimal point, and a colon!} - How important is it for you to have an odo? First, there's the problem of displaying a value greater than 9999 (miles or km). Some sort of scrolling feature would have to be implemented then, which'll be quite a challenge to get working! What's already been changed is that you are now able to change between metric and imperial units. This is done after having set you wheel circ. (only in mm!), when you'll be asked to choose between "EU" and "US", metric and imperial respectively... ![]() Due to some delays at the CNC shop, the cases are being anodized as we speak, and will definately be sent out to me this Thursday, meaning I'll get them at the beginning of next week...

How about a blinking decimal point in Trip B? Sounds like the only remaining option!?! Quote:

From your name, I'm guessing you're from NL?? I haven't received my 3 sample CNC cases yet, but they've already been sent of to me. If I'm really lucky, then I should get them this Monday or Tuesday! But here a pic I got from the samples, just before they were sent off to me (anodized in some of the many colours possible!): ![]() Quote:

My options for the remote would be 1 single to use both tripmasters or 2 single remotes.. How do I go about getting you a deposit? |

Cases are here!

)THE CASES HAVE ARRIVED!!! Here some pics of the blue sample: ![]() ![]() ![]() I was also contacted by the owner of OFF-THE-ROAD, a rallye accessories shop here in Germany, whom my fathers knows quite well. He wanted to have a repeater for one of his rallye XT660's that was going to appear in an offroad magazine, "Enduro Abenteuer", next month. TALK ABOUT ADVERTISING!!! ![]() But, he needed it by the 25th (in 2 days!), at latest. So, I sat down through the night to finish my first repeater in my new casing. He chose the black casing which I had, so it'd match the colour of the bike: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Looks good, doesn't it?!? (sorry, but my camera is kinda crappy when it comes to closeup shots) ![]() After having completed it, my dad and I quickly drove down to Cologne today to drop it off and explain to him how it works. Here a pic of the bike on which it'll be mounted on, and be presented in the magazine: ![]() I just have to make some minor changes to the casing before I order the next batch of 15 pieces. Also, I'll be heading to the Ténéré-Meeting this weekend, to which I'll be taking a tripmaster, and repeater to present them to some of the rallye enthusiasts there. A great chance to fix any bugs: software and hardware! Stay tuned!!! |

Next order details
Hey all,
Before I order the next load of cases, I need to know how many of each kind I'll need to order (case for 1 or 2 buttons, repeater and tripmaster respectively). I'll also need to know which color you want to have them anodised in. To the combo remote: I need to completely redesign it, as it is WAY too expensive to get them done the way they are now, as there are far too many slants. |

Colours
Now replies yet?!?
![]() Anyways, I have thought about one matter for quite some time now. Instead of individually asking each buyer which colour casing he'd like for his unit, I think it'd be heaps easier if I just got 1 (universal) colour. I was tending to go for silver, like so: ![]() By doing so I can sell any device to any one in the future without having to worrie about the colour not matching to what he/she wants (a Yamah blue on a yellow Suzuki is a nono )What do you say? (I hope this is understandable!) |

Silver would be good, though you might also consider choosing another "signature" color for your marque.
