The frame number is 106XXXX, and has a manufacture date of 2/70 on it. Not sure if that makes it a K1 or K2.

It runs, shifts, and all the electrics work, except for the tach. It has minimal rust and damage. Right now, the plan is to replace all the cables, the battery, the bearings (brakes and tires were just done), and the tach, and get it on the road.

I will post a pic, if I can. EDIT: Here we go. Last of the K1s?

Anyone have a clue as to whether this is a K1 or a K2? I've been trying to order some parts, don't want a box of stuff showing up that won't fit.

Looks like it would be a K1.

Great thread. I've been thinking I need a project bike (don't we all??) and want some form of Honda Cx350. I bought a CJ360 4 or 5 years ago for my son, and we never really did much with it - I ended up giving it to a friend, who swapped it to another friends for parts (sound familiar?) who put an electric start motor in it for his wife. Anyway, a CL or CB with some semi-knobs would be just the thing for my late-life College commute.

This one's mine. Was my Gramp's and he handed it off to me and my boys.

Got a CL350 that's currently in boxes, but should be going back together very shortly... Lots of very nice looking examples in here!

Thumb Might as well join the CL thread

I just got my CL350 of a Graig's List. The bike is a 7.0 and needs a bit of work to make her scramble ready.

1970 Cl450

Howdy, from Denver, Co.

I picked up this 1970 CL450 a couple of months ago, with 20,000 miles on it. It has been resprayed, at some time in the distant past, the seat cover appears to be a replacement, as are the mirrors, and I added some Lockhart/Phillips turn signals. Other than that, it appears to be stock.

Read more about it on my blog, Two Wheels (www.grinderswheels.blogspot.com).

I hope the picture isn't too big.

EDIT: I've resized this thing, twice, but I think I finally got it right.
