I have my stock seat available for recovering as soon as you are open to the masses. I am sure there is a waiting list, so could you be kind enough to add my name?

Thanks,

I'm a big fan of the Sommer seats myself but unfortunately they only offer the covers. I could save you a few bucks by reusing the Sommer cover and installing my foam/Gal combo.
I'll let you know shortly when I can get to it, thanks for your inquiry!

I gotta get me one of them seats!

Hey James,

I'm in big time for a black and grey rally version with orange thread.
They look awesome!

You tell me when you want my seat or my money or both, and I'll do whatever it takes to get them to you.

You're a good man Mr Boejangles
The first day after hardware removal is a walk in the park compared to the first day after the original surgery.

Don't forget to put me on your list. I'll PM you.

Roger

My Sommer Seat

They actually made me the whole seat. I guess they just took a stock seat and then recovered it and shipped it. They even sent the stock cover they replaced. Anyway I would like to try one of your complete set-up's. Just re-use the stock seat pan.

When it's my turn,,, of course.

Cheers,

SJ

Yes sir, Life's going to be good on a KTM with a comfortable seat.

I have a 525EXC with a 2x4 for a seat, maybe when all the 950/640 seat ruckus calms down you could do something with that too.

I will sugest you,to sell the SOMMER seat complete,,UN TOUCH as it is,is no point in taking that fancy seat apart just to use the core.
just get a stock cheap($105 i believe) seat and start from the ground up,i think you will losse a lot less money that way

just my own Opinion

Ricardo,

I like my seat from Sommer! I am going to give him my stock seat that came off my 950 and have him strip and recover that one. I might even call Oliver and have him send me another KTM Suede cover and have Mr. Jangles "stuff" it for me. We'll see.

Thanks,

SJ

Am I the only one to have one? You better get it fast cause I mentioned it in Cycle World in a long-term update so the list may get longer!

I still dig mine and it started out better than a well broken in stock one and it is getting better with every ride. Go with the suede as I think that is a big part of the good feel. My rally bikes always had suede. I really can't wait for the 640 seat though. If it is half as good as the 950 seat, I may ride that bike again!

Glad to see it

A few weeks back, James (Boejangles) shows me some pics of the seat he made for Jimmy. It's beautiful.

I've see the hides. First rate. He showed me the Gels. Very nice, thick stuff. James will be frustrating himself delivering the seats with contrasting stitching strait enough for his own high standards.

I decided then that he's making one for the old RXC or new (to me) 640 Adventure, whichever I have at the end of the month. Cannot wait to have the new seat done.

I'm going to want him to cover my 1150 too!

Good luck to James on the project! Good fortune for us that he's making more than the one off for JL.

Suede seat in rain?

I'm VERY interested because the stock 950 seat sucks. But I ride in the rain a lot, how does the suede hold up? Any other wet-weather issues?
