I might be interested in that 200-250 lb shock Martini, let me know if you want to get rid of it.

Just searched and found this. Seems one of ours had an opinion on this. Makes me feel better about the cast.

Update!!! I'll make you the same deal Doc just made me. Just too stiff for me, the older I get the more I shrink and go slower too.

Would the front wheel off your old bike fit the front? If so you might be able to pick up a used rear wheel somewhere. I'd like to find a set and mount TC 80's on them just in case.......

Meh, I wouldn't think twice about cast wheels. The ones on my Strom have been beat to hell and never had a problem with them.

yeah the cast wheels apparently work fine, lots of folks beat them to hell on the trails.

a friend ran his mazda rx7 on a curb once, and it broke the bead, and deformed the aluminum rim, ( this was 25 years ago)

a tire shop wanted to replace the wheel, said it wouldnt hold air. ( it wasnt cheap)
the guys father showed up, said bull, grabbed a hammer and beat the bead area back into shape, it held air, and he put many more years and miles on that wheel..

Back in 93 or so, my son curbed his 1985 Honda 500 interceptor. He had 24 hours to make it to Ft. Erwin, CA. He brought it to my place, two 2X4's & a sledge hammer & I got lucky, was so perfect that I got a true run out with a pencil check. He made it on time & even went to race school with that same wheel. Many more CA to OK runs with side trips to KS at speeds I don't even want to think about. If that bike lives, I bet it is still on that same front wheel

Short story.... What Mouth said.....

Run them puppies. Chris McGrath you ain't.....
