Do you guys ever have just dirt rides? not legal yet and "trying" to stay just on dirt. or maybe mostly dirt?

oh heck yeah..but sometimes the pavement does get in the way!

one thing you might think abt is getting some kind of insurance on it if you want to ride the dirt roads...even tho they are dirt, they are still county roads and the county sheriff patrols them..and if you happen to have an "accident" on a bike that is not street legal, they gonna hit you hard..at least with some kind of insurance, you can ease that pain just a tad.

Out my way (Madison Co), lottsa dirt roads out this way and I can ride pretty much on dirt and stay off pavement and get someplace..out where you are, off 340, some of those developements are empty of houses and connect via dirt roads..(at least they were a couple of years ago and I don't recall ever seeing any construction goin on there..but I could be wrong)..and these dirt roads would be a good place to get in some saddle time..if I wasnt confined to the house right now, I'b be glad to show ya around, either here in Madison Co or up there where you are..but being under house arrest and my PO is a real bitch, so I will just hafta serve my time and not whine abt it, but one of these days soon, I will be free agn!

hey most the time they have it coming. i can bring some tools over and show u how i get my tracking colar off. i just toss mine on one of my kids and send them to there room for the day. works most the time. if u need to barrow a kid i have 4.

would be fun to check out some of the local dirt roads. being new to riding it would be nice to find something mellow so i dont fall off as much.

sitting in the driveway with my son, I saw him eyeing the beemer, so I said, watch this,
I removed the seat, and put it in its lower position, then said get on there, see if you can touch the ground.
he could just barely, I asked if he could get it off the side stand, it took him a few attempts ( its a heavy beast)

I said, suit up you can ride it.

he didnt waste much time, mouthwife was going on and on about how bad of an idea this was.

I showed him the start up routine, he feathered the clutch a few times, then took off out of the drive way

went around the block, stopped at the stop sign, came back and parked it.


I found some bubbles and soft spots in my tire shortly afterwards, so I put on my backup wheel.

he got the last official ride on this kenda big block tire that I installed last January.
