But I dream, I test ride and I thoroughly enjoy the search. My range of bikes is usually limited to standards and for HD, there's only the now discontinued and widely rejected XR1200X.

I was in a Honda/Yamaha dealership today that I would likely never buy a bike from because of their sales staff. However the guy behind the parts counter is a year round rider, a pleasant fellow and a guy that knows his stuff. I straddled a beautiful 2013 Super Tenere, while I was there and day dreamed about how much fun that bike would be, on a trip to Alaska.

On another note, a month back I test rode a Moto Guzzi V7 Stone. I noticed today that Youtube video I posted, of my test ride, had over a 1,000 views and my Youtube channel now has over 50,000 views.

Thanks for the input y'all.

I learned the hard way that if the H-D dealers don't like a bike [Buell] they won't support it with service or parts. Ultimately it led Harley to drop Buell.

The dealers hated having a bike on the floor that cost less and out performed their flagship cruisers. Eric Buell took the 1203 engine to 105 dependable HP in a lightweight package that had the sales staff whispering to each other on ways to kill it. The kool-aid drinkers were starting to notice they were being passed on the outside of corners by riders who could maintain the speed limit. On Sportsers!

For similar reasons the XR was not supposed to make it to America. It was released in Europe first. When it did make it here it didn't take the dealers long to damn it with faint praise. The people who bought it didn't accessorize!

The HD treatment of Buell was disgraceful.

I'm hoping I like the XR1200 and Old Fort accepts my ridiculous offer.

nice pic.

I'll be moving to NWA later this month. Starting with an apartment in Centerton until the family follows.

Welcome to NWA. If you love the outdoors, you will love living here.

Thanks

Well, I guess 25 f is better than 11f, this morning. I was taking my son to school yesterday, opened the garage door, (of course the GSA is in the garage, the Jeep is outside), I remarked to him, "Oh, it's warmed up",,cranked up the jeep, the temp gauge indicated 15 F.
