I heard there is no riding test in AR...I got mine in AZ. That one was easy especially if you have been riding a while.

I tried to look up the writen stuff and there was just a little motorcycle stuff in the back of the car stuff that you take when your a kid. Is there a need to study anything for the test?

I have a license for a 18 wheel 80,000ib truck but i need one for a motorcycle

Yep, most see you in a 80,000 lb truck, most don't see ya on a bike. See the states are looking out for you too. Not just all the others in little smart cars they don't want you to crush with 18 wheels.

I highly recommend getting your motorcycle endorsement. Lots cheaper than the ticket.

Web surfing for DL info stinks in AR. I suggest you just call the unit that does the drivers licensing in the region:
Troop L 5084 Har-Ber Avenue, Springdale 479-751-3619
That's where you will go anyway.

Unless I am mistaken, you will need to take a skills test too. In the past, they didn't let you take the skills test if you rode the bike to the testing spot. I hear that changed. But, rather than what it "might be", just call them.

yeah magoos probably got better info than I do..I do remember reading that you have to have someone else ride the bike to the testing sight..
don't know your skill level but they do usually test on rapid starts and stops. and the ride as slow as you can.

Does AR not require the MSF course to get your M endorsement?

I got my endorsement about 4 years ago, unless it has changed there is a required written test, then a required riding test.

in that order, you cant ride your bike there to take the written. but once youve passed the written you have 30 days to ride legally, and then come back and pass the riding test. or trailer it, and do it all in one day.

Stuckin,

http://www.asp.state.ar.us/divisions...ber%202009.pdf

the written is pretty much a joke.

the questions are about 90% like this,
" how many beers should you drink before riding? A:1, b:0, c 8, d: none, I only smoke weed"

the riding test is about as hard, you have to ride slow in a circle, come an abrupt ( but NOT a stoppie) stop.

basically, if you arent pavement surfing, and arent a moron, its simple.

The test is a joke. My wife took it last year and they just made her ride around a parking lot in a loop and come back.

...and you got the M endorsement how?

No, Albie, you don't have to have the MSF. However, if you've taken it, you don't have to take the riding test.
