I'm jealous! I got to fly two 206's from Arkadelphia to TXK last year. Definitely more fun that the Cessna 172's that I've got most of my hours in! I wish helicopters were as affordable to fly as planes, I'd love to get all my ratings in one.

I've only flown lately in Southwest planes. I did stay in a Holiday Express once though.

At least you pick the good airline to fly. I think everyone should take at least a discovery flight to feel the controls. It's a whole new kind of freedom

I learned how to fly in a '49 Ercoupe. Not the most sophisticated aircraft out there. Went from that to 152's, 172's, and on up to Lear 24's and Citation 3's.

Now I do all my flight at low level, two wheels down.

Well thanks for putting me to shame :( I'd like to fly a Lear, that could be a ways off though. A King Air or Pilatus PC12 is my dream rig, as "uncool" as they may be.

Congratulations

Elvis 70: Congratulations on the upgrade in the 407.. I also think the seats are much more comfortable than the 206. Have fun with your new ride and fly safe.

Roger

Today I trailered in a yard of topsoil amd a yard of mushroom compost for my raised bed garden. Unloaded it by hand in the pouring rain. Finally finished and went into the house to dry off so I could go to the shop to build a table for Vic. Walked outside and the weather had cleared and the sun was shining. Guess I should have planned my workday in reverse.

Don't be too impressed. The Lears and Citations were done as a right seater on maint check rides. I was just there in case something went bad wrong so they'd have somebody to blame it on.

My fave plane to fly is a Long-Eze. Canard planes are fun.

Are you an A&P mech? Do they still have the A&P school down at Drake?
