Sounds like we need to have a forking party. Charlie needs forking oil and JT needs a forking seal.

Right now we have Cox for phone, internet and TV. We've tried the others and found them lacking mostly on the TV side. The DSL was also slower (for the same or similar money). The only trouble is if you split the services between providers the cost goes up. Ya can't win. Cell phones are with ATT. We had Sprint before but the minute we were out in the sticks there was no service.

yeah I might do that, its $119 for Internet, and the middle tier of TV

thats about $20 more than im paying now just for a phone line, and slower DSL.

I just have yet to get them to give me an actual breakdown of ALL charges, federal user end fee, connection fee, monthly recurring nonamed fee.... you know those things that change the bill from what they quote you, to something substantially larger.

There just isnt a whole lotta options it doesnt seem.

I am always nice to the people on the phone, even when they are struggling with the language.

just got a price quote for $300/mo for a T1 from Windstream, still looking.

If I had been impatient, argumentative, smart mouthed, irate about the corporate duche bags, none of the good stuff would have happened.

T1, Fiber, business class is all doable for about $1500.00 & up. Might be cheaper now as it was some time ago that I checked.

I can't remember exactly what the confusion was but when I was shopping around..I called them up and asked about internet and they said "no cant do it" . but then I called around and somebody said yeah it can be done just let me transfer you to our sister company that handles internet service---xfer, ring, ring ring "thank you for calling windstream how may I help you?"----"interenet service no problem"
like I said can't remember word for word but it was something along those lines.

I say hold your nose and go with Cox. I pay about the same as the price you quoted for Comcast, and when it works (most of the time to be honest) it's pretty damn fast. If it doesn't work and you need service, might was well send up smoke signals.

That sux about your internet woes mouth. Too bad you can't get Uverse. When I first got it it was flawless, now that it's grown, it's about on par with Cox, maybe still better. It does give me a bargaining chip between the two. We got rid of the cable and only use the internet now. We pay about $50 a month and it's faster than we need. Maybe you could call Cox and tell em your going with Uverse if they won't give you a better deal.
