Haha ever seen "layer cake"? Great dialogue to which Daniel Craig responds " you find peace with guns?"

My DR starters been acting wonky as well. Need to yank it out and lube it. PITA Jap bikes!

He never worked on a Ruger Mark, it takes a damn mallet to get the grip off and on the receiver. Then you got to make damn sure you get the receiver aligned just right or you'll never get the friggen bolt retainer pin back in.

Guy in the movie was talkin about a walther, as I recall, more difficult. When I tried to refurbish my MK 1 I took it apart 3 times a day.. PITA at first but I grew to know the quirks

When I worked in the family business I had guys bring in their Rugers (mark series) all the time to have me reassemble them after they'd taken them apart to clean them. I got fairly good at getting everything aligned "just right" and on more than one occasion really ticked em off by reassembling everything in front of them in a couple of minutes or less.

The DRZ starter clutch sort of looks like that. You can hear the starter click but the clutch doesn't engage with the flywheel. If you rock the bike it sometimes engages and sometimes not.

It would be nice if we could get our hands on some 22 ammo. I have a conversion kit on my Beretta.

There were 14 + political post today & not one slap down.

I think Zeecat deserves an apology. He only posted one.

The asshats that slapped him know who they are.

Wonder why they did not jump on the guys today.

Oh, never mind, I know why.

I been paying waaaay too much for 22lr ammo. But worth it I reckon. I've just about given up on 9mm and 38 special.

It was likely my rant that led to Terry leaving us. In retrospect I am sorry about that because I have always liked Terry and his innovative approach to riding and repairing his bikes. He is good people. IMHO if we're going to discuss weapons (back then and now) I think it should be limited to just that (leave the politics out). This is just my opinion and opinions are like assholes, everyone has one.

I don't have to participate in any discussion if I don't want to and neither does anyone else. At the time I felt (personally) that we were headed somewhere we shouldn't have been going, we weren't discussing the virtues of our respective weapons, their abilities, or even our prowess using them. Instead it became a political discussion and there are forums within ADV in the basement (for a reason) for that already.

After all, the thing that brought us here on this forum together as friends and really good friends at that, was and remains our love of bikes.

My job/career was weapons and training intensive. I had no politics to contend with, just orders. I followed them without hesitation and without interjecting my own politics or worrying about someone elses politics. I should have done the same in this instance.

So, if I offended and obviously I did, I apologize. But please try to understand my reasoning for the rant in the first place.

Sorry Terry, sorry Gus and anyone else that took offense.
