If you ever want any company hunting morels just let me know Charlie. It's been years since I hunted them up in Iowa and I sorely miss hunting and eating them. I PROMISE I won't tell about any hunting spots, nor will I go to them without being in your company. Can you tell I've hunted morels before?

yeah im looking at a leg trap, there has a been a have a heart trap set for several days with tuna, since somehing got a hold of a chicken a few nighs ago, and put feathers all over the yard, im sure now it was the same fox.

but he is apparently not a fan of tuna, or leary of the have a heart type of trap ( it might be a bit small for the fox too)

so yeah, gonna have to figure out something else, IM not a fan of leg type traps. but I know this wont end without the fox dying or being relocated to Teds house.
Hey Hey!! We have our own foxes lurking around. Plus we just lost a sitting duck last week (I understand the cliche more now, they wont get off that nest for anything!). Caught a coon in a live trap and relocated him. Hate to lose animals, sorry to hear that. Sardines, raw meat, soft dog food, maybe camo the trap out with leaves and stuff. Good luck, happy hunting!

fox moves 20 feet drops chicken, and then takes off, chicken was gasping, bleeding, and not able to stand, so I asked son to put one in its head.
Fox was waiting 20 feet away to come and finish it, son tried to position for a shot.. backlot is heavy wooded, and houses, so not alot of options really.

fox got away, now trying to figure out how to fix this situation.

if a fox will grab a chicken in broad daylight, WITH us out and about in the yard, thats pretty hard to defend against.
That sucks Mouth. One reason I am hesitant to get chickens. The other is that they live way longer than they lay eggs. I don't want clucking pets for the next 10 years. Still thinkin' on it.

My Grandpa had a hen that lived for 10 years. Her name was "Gal" she hated me (well everyone in general). When I was five or six I remember when we would visit Grandpa it would sneak up on me and jump up just to peck my ears (scared me shitless).

She lived in the house with Grandpa Ira which was weird enough but the the damn thing used a cat box to do her business in. When she was laying she would leave eggs on the couch in a blanket Grandpa left there for her.

What a vile critter...I hated her.

probably, this household is collectively too lazy to prepare one though, with chicken at its current prices.

when it hits $90 a lb, we might reconsider.
