New to NWA: Looking for a group to ride with

Hey fellow ADVriders,

I just moved to Bentonville from Seattle, WA. I have a 2010 KTM990 Adventure and I am looking to hook up with a group to do some weekend rides, and longer. I would love to get out this saturday if anyone is riding in the area. I have a spanking new pair of 908's on so I am ready to get off road and see what NWA has to offer!

Hello Garrett and welcome. Most of us are headed to Byrds Campground for the annual SLAP rally this weekend. You might check out the SLAP THREAD and roll down that way. I am sure you can find somebody to tag along with. Registration is closed but you can probably hook up with someone at either Turner Bend or Oark General store. Google both of them

Garrett,

If you are also into wear those 908's down quickly there is a group, mainly CMA rider, that leave Siloam Spring most every Friday night. Most Goldwing and cruisers head out at 6:30, the remaining Sport and Adv bikes head out about 6:45 to try and catch the first goup for dinner a bit before 8:00. If you want more details let me know.

Welcome to the Asylum Garrett. I live a bit east of ya in Mtn Home. We have and ADV breakfast about once a month which is a good place to come meet some folks, swap some lies, and generally be astounded that supposedly grown men can behave like we do.
If you get over this way gimme a shout and I'll take ya on the secret roads.

Howdy gents. Jeez, come home from work, and all you guys want to do is talki helicopters.

I saw that chopper Ted posted a pic of. It was at Mercy a few weeks back. That is an EC-135. We have a bunch and I am currently 3rd on the list of 19 bidding for 4 spots flying them in the Gulf. Hate to loose my customer bonus, wanted one more year of that, and hate to go back in the pool. I would still be flying the 407 as well, and maybe even the 206. The pool is a crap shoot. Bid closes the 17th, so I have to make up my mind, in case I get the call. The cool thing is the training is not all in house. Go to the factory in Dallas.

I am thinking of riding down to Byrds Thursday morning. Only day I can. Anybody want to go.

Charlie and I are caging down (trailer), but I know several others will be down there already...including ToyBoy. He would love to play with you. B.Y.O.L.

Hey Ojay!

I got a bit of time to sync the TB's this afternoon.

at 3000-5000 rpm they are very very close.

at idle they are off.

I removed the BBS, cleaned, reinstalled, right side doesnt matter if I screw the bbs all the way in , on left side screwing it all the way in nearly kills the engine

swap screws side to side, same thing.

so im thinking, I still have an air leak, or my valve lash is bad ( likely I havent checked it in a couple of years)

does that seem logical? or am I missing something else?

bike runs and idles great, just shows a pretty big difference at idle on the sticks.

set up

at idle

at 3500 rpm

also to even the manometer at idle

right air screw is all the way seated and
left Is 3 turns out

that's
more
likely an
air leak than valve lash right?
damnit
