Thanks Gus. Tomorrow I'm only going 250 miles or so, along the Miss, then along the Illinois river. I'll stop in Peru for the night. The gnats are something else. We've trained them well to be a pain in the butt (job security, you know).

Both, I am in conference until Friday, then Vic and I will take some vacation days and drive up to Maine and stay until next Wednesday. The Maine coast is beautiful and reminds me of the Pacific NW coast. I plan to eat lots of seafood.

Just built my first wheel. It's round and everything. Much easier than I suspected. And way cheaper than Woody.
