So use your imagination on this.
OR use this link : http://www.flickr.com/photos/cv_dusty/5858696987/

She is slender, patriotic colors of Red White & Blue. She is build like a brick house. Only 27 years old and from what I see she is all original (including the exhaust).

Runs and things look solid. Just a little smoke. All gaskets / seals / ect are dry. No oil stain in the caked on dust and dirt.

Once she gets the clean up small tear down and replace the things that most anyone would do. (fork oil/ dust seals / clean and repack bearings / oil change .... etc ... etc. )

I fingure in about a month I may be able to join the local herd out on the trails.

I got her from a local add for $550 with a few parts thrown in (extra handlebars / new brake pads rear / frt brake res and line).

I hope for less than $500 I can up and running and this includes the new set of tire (ft/rear).

Nice find, probably only need to throw in a set of valve seals to fix the smoking. Cheap and easy repair.

You'll get a six pack for the bother.
Any help out there?
I have one if you didn't already source one and/or still need one.

Yeah, but with two bikes in the back. Not sure where Colorado Springs is in relation to where I'm going (Buena Vista for Westfest) but if it's on the way I might could squeeze it in.

I'll have to size up the situation with two bikes on board. Is this an engine only or other parts attached?

Just an engine with the TB's. If you want, you can take my Kendon trailer. It is real light and could carry your bikes no sweat. Then you'd have plenty of room for your gear AND a motor.

Well, I installed my Michelin T63's and so far I love them. Thousands of times better in the dirt compared to the Conti Trail-Attacks, and I figure I'm only giving up a little bit of stability on pavement.

I figured what better way to test them out than to try Pannell Road for the very first time, LOL. (I went from south to north). I almost bit off more than I could chew! Never been down that way before, but I made it! I'm sure most of you know but apparently there is a >1' rock cliff in the middle of the road about halfway through. I didn't see it until I got right up to it, and figured I better not get too brave so I had to back up about 20 yards and go around it. That's when I realized how heavy my bike is

But, I can't complain. I made it all the way up that hill without going down. I'm sticking with 50/50 tires from now on as far as I can tell.

I have been surprised at the lack of coverage on Whitey. Particularly with the fame the movie, "The Departed" brought to his exploits.

If you want to read a great book that was a real eye opener to the level of political corruption tied to Whitey and his brother read, "The Brother's Bulger". His brother was the president of the Massachusetts Senate, and without him Whitey couldn't of done all he did. He was sick, perverted, sociopath.
