Thanks for all the info. Glad I asked some locals. Seems ES will be the right choice.

Comfort Inn is another good option for a place to stay in Eureka Springs. You will not be disappointed staying in ES. It is a great place to base your stay.

I've.had a rotten weekend. Been sick since Friday afternoon and then at 9am my son called. His car was hit hard by somebody in the Grove parking lot.

An eye witness said.that a red Mustang was "drifting" through the parking lot and hit Brads car and one other.

Brads front bumper was damaged heavily but the the right front tie rod end is a pretzel and the jeep is not drivable.

Poor kid cant catch a break and Dads wallet is in melt down mode. Argghhhhh

Did anyone get a tag number of the Mustang?

That's a pretty crappy weekend Charlie. Lousy luck for your son. Between car and room-mates he's really been through it lately. I hope the police can find the mustang and really sting the owner.

Hang in there!

Getting ready to ride across beautiful Kansas in a cool 95 degree heat. Don't be too jealous of me!

I think there is some kind of a BMW rally on that weekend but we will be heading to see a friend in St Louis Friday, so that wont be a problem. So far it seems like Eureka Springs isn't a bad choice?
We stay in some "tree houses" at the end of downtown, very quiet and nice! Only a short walk to the bars/shops. We also stayed in a small house recently and it was great. Very clean and super nice owners. Here's the link to the tree houses and if you need the other places info I'll get it to you. http://allseasonsluxuryproperties.com/

Get a load of this. I read where the City of Dallas is now impounding all vehicles when stopped for traffic violations if they cannot provide proof of insurance. Seems that their impound area is now 80% full as only a small percentage of people are returning to get their car due to the $350 towing charge and fines etc. Get this, the accident rate has dropped 47% since they started this program. I guess there is more than one way to weed out the illegals. Go Dallas!
