Holy smokes Matt! Thats crazy. The lightning was low and loud this morning right before the rain came, I usually am not too worried about the lightning but it was really rumbling when I was in the yard this morning.

as he is walking in the rotor rooter van makes starting like noises, and then lightning strikes it and it it explodes into flames!

the guy was very shaken up, and thankful the neighbor witnessed the whole scenario since he said the company would never believe his story.

Matt I've been googling the last hour for plastic tanks, ideally thats what I want. There are none I can find. Kind of odd shaped and flat 1 gallon tank. As popular as these are I figured there would be more options. Gonna just focus on getting them running for tomorrow eve then I'll try and figure something out.

Dammit, what the hell.

The only time I have ever had a problem starting an engine that sat around for a long time was when I put Stabil in it. It was a generator that sat 99.99 percent of the time. First year I had it I did nothing to it but start it once and awhile. No problem. Second year I added Stabil and the gas turned into goo.

I used Stabil for years when I was working overseas. I'd put the recommended amount in the car in August, park it, pull the cables off the battery and leave. When I'd get back in June I'd reconnect the battery cables, turn the key and be on my way. That was with my car parked in the garage at 10,000 feet in Colorado though so maybe that's what made the difference.

Bummer Ted. Looks like it's time to teach your son how to wrench.

If I understand correctly, stabil forms a film over the fuel preventing gas exchange through that surface.

which is not really important to the discussion, I just find that... odd.

hmm after reading some more maybe that isnt true, its an oxidizer prohibiter to stop or slow hydrocarbons from absorbing moisture.

you had a defective batch Ted, OR, hot and cold where you stored the little scoots did a condensation number on your tanks.
