The race isn't until the weekend after Thanksgiving. I think the kids race and atv race are saturday, as well as a night race and the main races are that sunday.

It's open to ride everyday and the trail is marked.

And as Mdawg said the woods will be crawling with hunters, Riverfront is a good place to ride and not get shot.

it is a semi loose aggregation of people with a few common interests, drinking beer, building fires, giving folks a hard time for pretty much nothing at all.
For some reason on Sat night, pork of varying degrees of quality, becomes fricasseed into numbered cups and people try them all and then vote on the top 3 flavors.
over the years side dishes have gotten judged too, usually one side dish winner, As far as i know, no sort of salad has ever won anything here.

It is like a BBQ competition, but not as rigid in the formalities area.

the simple rules are:
-Pork must weigh 8 pounds or more
-It must be cooked from raw state
-and must be cooked here
-you may do prep work before you get here such as a marinade
-It must be cooked over charcoal/wood.....no propane

Technically its an invite only thing, but thats pretty loose anymore too.
started small with only 2 folks
( started out with 2 friends arguing over how to cook a shoulder roast about 11 years ago), they declared a "HAM OFF"

and the tradition was born.

Plated

I did the DMV shuffle today.

The XR600R is now plated with Antique tags.

Now to get the head back from MosseycreekATV and bolt it back together.
I should be on the trails and roads by dec.
