and I think that guy either ripped off the maker of the "whitebox stove" or the other way around.

the design is the same, you need an aluminum beer bottle. its a good design it burns HOT for several minutes on 1-2 OZ of alky

ive made a TON of alky stoves.

I like the whitebox and carry it in the wintertime.

the cat food cans, I use too, I have one that will not boil water, but it will simmer and heat for 20+ minutes on 1oz of alky.

I use it too, rapid boil on one stove, switch to the simmer and it will rolling boil for the duration, or use the non-boil stove for cooking stuff that you dont want to scorch in the pan.

ive got canister stoves, and an old coleman 442 backpacking stove.. for 10+ years ive only carried alky stoves, so much easier, and cleaner to deal with in my opinion.

I think he copied the whitebox stove. I'll gladly pay $14 less though

It's like buying generic medicine or off brand food items. Same stuff, different label and price.

I haven't seen a movie in a theater for more than 3 years. I'm taking my bride to see "Gravity" tonight. She gets motion sickness, and thinks the "3D" version will make her hurl. I have no idea what it is like, 3D wasn't common back then.

Opinions?

They're pretty cool. i never got sick but it take a few minutes for your eyes to adjust and might give your a headache if you're sensitive like that.

As far as getting sick, just like in an Imax, close your eyes.

I might say something about headaches, but I've been married >30 years, and want to stay that way.

The 3d isnt as bad as you think. My kids will beg to see 3d over a normal movie, I could care less. The glasses are kinda uncomfortable IMO, and the lenses always have water spots on them so clean them off with your shirt to get a good picture!
