Start with the easiest solution first, or, rip the set apart Ketchum-style, and really 'fix' it.
Yup. Never, never leave anything you're buying in it's stock configuration. Things are just better when modified. Just sayin

It's plugged into an HDMI port and a usb port (for power). Intel WIDI on the computer. Windows 7 version works on Windows 8 too. It is it's own WIFI Hotspot.

Fiddly set up but once set up rock solid. You can push any video, webpage, goat porn or anything else to the TV. I think it was $90 from Best Buy.

All four of them went dead. Apparently it's a common problem with Vizio TVs.

Yup, love my home theater setup. Unfortunately half of it is sitting in a storage building in Fayetteville at the moment.

Oh man, that sucks! Does it have Component video inputs? Not as simple to setup as HDMI, but it's better then nothing. You should be able to find HDMI to Component converters. Or, go the Jaidee route get a home theater receiver which can convert HDMI input to Component.

I'm running component video right now. Good picture, but only one input. I think I can get a new main board for the TV for about $150. Or a new TV for $300. These things are almost disposable nowadays.

Damn... if I had known that, your KTM would be in the storage building and the home theater in my shop.

Right? People will go crazy for this stuff. Head down to SW Arkansas and a person would run out of aluminum long before ant hills!
