aint no grass growing under his tires.
The pegs did find the pavement a few times today.

Hello. Helloooo. Anybody home?

Wow, nothing since 8:30 this morning! Guess everybody was out riding on the Arky 500. I went up to Bentonville to get some crush washers, then rode about 150 miles of mixed pavement and gravel roads. What a great day to get out! I even stopped by Doc's place to say hello, but nobody was home except Petey. I did notice some motorcycle tracks in his road though.

All the creeks I saw were running pretty full, so I'm looking forward to tales of drowned bikes and other adventures from the 500 riders. Hope they all had a great day. I'm finding that my new (to me) Dakar is a lot more stable running at speed on gravel roads than I would have expected. Maybe that's just the new tires though.

Oh. A shoutout to the folks at Bentonville BMW for giving me printouts of the service records for my bike today. Now I know I don't need to check the valves for another 10,000 miles, nor do I need to change the coolant and some other stuff that I'd been curious about. Excellent service. Couldn't be nicer.

Hey JD.

good news on getting the bike records, that is super cool!

How are the new tires, and the state of balance of your wheels?

I worked half a day and came home and helped son work on the Yota. got the engine lifted and the oil pan removed for cleaning out, man there was alot of bits of carnage in there...

Yeah, I was super happy to get the records for the bike. Helps A LOT!

The tires seem good. I was getting some good lean in on the pavement and all seemed stable. On the gravel, though I wasn't hitting it too hard (only about 45mph), the bike tracked straight and never felt squirrely. I think the tires were balanced pretty good. I spent some more time fine tuning them Thursday morning and was very satisfied. I was running around 90 on some straight sections of smooth highway and everything felt very smooth when I pulled in the clutch.

Good for you and son on the Yota! No pics of the carnage? Anything worth mounting on a board to give your son for his future edification.

Uggghhhhhh, just finished doing my taxes. Funny, as I was writing the IRS address on the envelope, I noticed I was mailing it to Louisville KY. Sure as hell don't feel like any KY was involved.

Change of venue

Doc let me know that Mas Mex is drive through only so......

Rather than hang out in the parking lot there we'll have lunch at King Burrito on College just south of Township. I think it's in the old Foghorns.

Time is still at 12:30.

How about a roll call of potential attendees?
