John the Baptist!
Me?
And there you have it, one man's Chucky Norris is another woman's John the Baptist

Most excellent report and professional story telling MJ. Thank you for showing us an Africa few of us will see in person.

Very true.

Thanks for taking us along for the ride, it looked pretty damn good from the sidelines.

The plaque says, in Italian:

San Cristoforo Well
Malawi 2005
Enrico and friends
Italian motorcyclists

Could it be that these wells were donated?

Thank you. Excellent prose and pictures. This, and your other ride reports which I just had to read, took me to a land far, far away in a time not so long ago. Looking forward to the next one

Stay safe,

Dickyb

Thanks for a supurb ride report, MetalJockey.

And, thank you for your humanity and your willingness to share your inner side about what you have seen. Every time I travel out of the states I am taken by the same feeling you express...the rest of the world is hard pressed and yet still the poeple find time and room in their hearts to welcome others who are different.

I can't wait for your next report.

Safe journeys!

One Criticism

Your ride reports make everyone else's (especially mine) seem so lame!!

Your Angola RR is the best ever and talked about on the other side of the world.

Thanks for taking the time to share these trips.
It is much appreciated.

Cheers
jason

I really enjoyed it.

Sorry, that made me laugh. And thank you, but coming from you that kinda threw me. I am the ultimate poseur. You really do this shit. I don't even dream about rides like yours 'cause I'd wake up feeling pretentious and small.

Don't believe me? Check out my latest wussfest - here.

And don't worry. I made it easy to avoid the pics in this one too.

Ride on, brudda metals. And thank you for sharing your exploits in such a beautiful way. I'm better for your efforts. Truly.
