Big Bear Ride 2009?

May 15th to 17th Big Bear Ride

Location: Holcomb Valley Campground (primitive camp) off 4N16 located north side of Big Bear Lake.

Big bike and small bikes. Advanced and nOObs are all welcome. The rides will be split according to skill level and interest (and drinking habit.. )

Sign up soon cuz we have limited camping space! It's a first come, first served basis.

sito, you did a lot last year and this year will be no different. come on? besides....we will have catered taco dinner (luv2race).

if we let you get off the hook, you promise that you'll do the WMRS carne asada dinner meal again. of course scorpion and dsm8 (jet li) will be there to help you too.

any volunteer....?

we need to start making reservations at serrano camp.

JULY 17, 18, and 19, 2009

if we can get a consensus, let's do it and start booking asap.

right now, for those dates...the most desirable campsites (in the shade/trees) are available # 129, 125/126, 124, 122, and 119. maximum of 8 campers each campsite.

the shower and bathrooms are clean and modern.

once we get at least 12 riders, let's start making reservation.

Sh!t by July I should be able to make it. Ben

Mid July...Possibly in. I'll check the schedule. This time however, I'll bring the rig & XR

There is a lot of other places to camp, but they are much more remote with no shower or shitters

let's hear who wants to do the ride.... if we get 6 riders fully committed and can make reservations (camping will be good for at least 24 tent campers)....then we're on.....

best camp sites

if we call soon, we will be camping in those spots. if you're not sure of going, make a reservation anyway and if you decide not to come, others can take it and we'll reimburse you.

here's a link for reservation.

H8, all camp sites you mentioned for those dates are reserved according to www.recreation.gov/camping/
Even that crappy #120 I was in last year with no shade is booked. Some are open at 2PM on Saturday the 18th but thats not good.

September seems to be wide open for reservations.
