Last minutes change!
Friday same, get to camp and try to get on a ride with someone.
Friday night go back to town and stay in motel 6 with 2 or 3 friends.
Sat morning ride back to camp with friends for the Sat 9am ride departure.

Joel,
I will bring firewood and extra drink.

Change of plans for me too. I'm driving up because my tire is half gone and would be toast by the time I get to camp. I'll bring a small gas BBQ, 2 burner stove, pot and pan, 5 ga water jug, some fire wood, a few chairs, my fat a$$, and the fire breathin DR650 slug. Should be in camp by 6 or 7 am Friday mornin.

Is anyone going for a ride from the camp on Friday?
What time are you guy riding out and what type of trails?
I would like to do a non-hardcore ride.

So I have a dilemma.....

should I bring the drz or the tw?

I took the drz in for service, even tho I don't own the bike, I'm the one that's been riding it most of the time... (they bought it used last fall, & no one has really done anything with it other than change the oil & fix the parts we break as we go along)... so I thought I would be pro-active & have it serviced at my expense (valves etc.) only problem is, the drz now pops & backfires on deceleration.... service guy says there is an exhaust leak at the manifold flange, which I can see there is a crack that looks like it's been there a while. The bike did not do this before though....

If there was some serious valve adjustment going on, this would change the amount of air flow and fuel flow, and could be the culprit for the newly acquired popping.
My bike pops on decelration also. That's no big deal. IF it's truly backfiring, well this could be another problem.

I say bring the DRZ

These are from Big Bear Bash 07. Anybody know where this is? I haven't been there since and have no idea where it is.

Nice its good to have options. Bring both bikes. The dr with the exhaust leak its running a little lean. Its allowing more air though the system and is not getting the right amount of fuel. But when you take it to big bear it will lean at that over 5000 ft. It should run pretty good. That's why you did not notice much when you ride it. It mostly ridden over 3500 hundred ft where you ride. Ben
