Sweet tag and grab. Sorry I had to flake on you today. However I did discover a potential new tag close to home.

I like it alot - Nice job on the tag.

Was getting cold so I stopped in this store for some hot
chocolate. Decided to drop Ali off right then and here.

Look for Ali slightly under the building near the outside corner near the bike.

Ali is covered by 2 rocks and red glove

Nice. I passed that store every day for three years commuting to Ashburn.

There was a sign up that said it was "now open", so it must have been closed for awhile. The hot chocolate was really good. Outside temp seemed
to drop quick late in the day. Need to remember the liner on rides like that!

No worries. Running solo lets me avoid being too destination focused.

I pulled a number of U-turns chasing "pavement ends" signs. They were like candy.

The roads in the area have been torn up for construction a fair bit over the past few years so it wouldn't surprise me if they closed for a bit.

You know, a few turns of copper tube around your exhaust header and you could make hot chocolate on the go!

It was low 50s the whole time I was out. I thought about putting the liners in when I stopped for fuses (long story) but just kept rolling. Staying a little cold kept me alert and really burned calories!

There was a TDM for sale on CList a couple days ago. The guy never returned my e-mail and the listing is gone so I assume he sold it. I've been looking at craigslist a bit too much lately toying with the idea of a second bike (since I am getting rid of the third car ). A part of me would like a bike that I could use to take my son on short trips. But there are just so many cool ones on craigslist I can't narrow it down. At the higher end: Triumph Bonnevilles, Kawi W650, a thousand different sport tourers. At the other end are old school standards and $1000 Buell Blasts.

I guess I should sell the car first.

Get a scooter!

To be fair I think we spent 3-4 hours on each of the days those pictures were taken, so it's not just good for short trips (thought you'll want to stop and let your rear recover as its not comfortable for more than an hour at a stretch.)

Now that its starting to warm up a bit more I'll have to get the kids back into the game.

You know the old saying about scooters and fat chicks . . .

Yea but the scooter makes me a total hooligan.

Feel free to stop by some time if you want to see what a 250cc scooter is like. It's a riot.

Grab

Made the grab at 0-dark and cold-30 on my way into work.
Evergreen Store in Arcola at the corner of Gum Spring and Evergreen Mills roads.

Can not post photos since ADV is still showing a database error but wanted to get the GRAB notice out there......

Didn't think that one would last long.
I'd guess Evergreen Mills would make for a good commute ride -
if its not too crowded.

Grab

Now that ADV is back up and all the Monday morning work related crap is taken care of, here are the GRAB photos:

This is a VERY busy intersection around 7am, I was quite surprised!

Ali was just finishing up her morning meal when I arrived!

Did I mention how busy that intersection is?
Heavy traffic in all three directions.
I know, enough of the bitchin'
