Sure they are, covered by the line that states *** These rules are subject to change ***

Take a look at the map right now.

A grab has been called on the current tag!

Grab! (Woodlawn Plantation)

The ingress gate was closed as I arrived after 5pm but apparently there was a tour of some sort that ran late at the Pope-Leighey so I was able to jump the center divider and sneak in for the grab.

Just as I was finished taking my photos one of the previously pictured curators raced up in a truck, no doubt to give me a piece of her mind. She mellowed after I waved the gator at her and I was able to get this pic:

Maybe you can bring a tripod and do a better job with the panorama shot.

Rule #1 Explains it all: Rule #1. If you're new, watch how the game is played for awhile before jumpin' in cause I ain't explainin' everything to ya'

And I think it's pretty common knowledge to give more clues than just a pic (unless the name of the location is in the photo); some of us are better visually & some verbally. And some of us need all the help we can get.

Er, it was?

The road leading to it was blocked off to traffic but I didn't see any posted signs, and I'm generally looking for them.

(Now, as Butters can tell you I've been known to miss the obvious...)

Tag!

So after getting my toes wet in the RLD (so to speak) I headed for open roads in search of a tag location on the county line.

I followed Snickersville turnpike to the end and headed north on a mountain road until I realized it had been tagged before, so I turned around and headed South-ish.

The tag photo:

A rock to keep the squirrels from carrying Ali off.

You'll have to ride this road to find the spot.

Sorry for the late posting... It was a 200 mile day.

Nice mnd! Nice distance, great road, sweet tag. Wish I'd been with you. Both bikes are (almost) back together again. Just waiting for a chain for the 'hawk.

You got DS tires for your Nighthawk yet?

Rule #2 clearly states "NO WHINING"!

I move we stop talking about rules before it sucks all the fun out of the game.

Ride, tag, ride, grab, repeat.

Beyond that, it really doesn't matter a whole lot, does it?

Auhg, I was just out there.
You must have enjoyed placing the tag. Great riding on those twisty back-country-ish roads.

Nuts! I knew I should have called you MND. I spent half the day up in Loudoun and Purcellville. Unfortunately, I was there for the wet half.

EDIT: DMM - where you on Lime Kiln Road today?

No! Bad! Nighthawk is too pretty to beat up off road!

(Besides, do you know how hard it is to find a 16" DS tire?)

Now that is about as far as you can get from the RLD (at least to the north west, anyway)!

Great spot!

I ended up riding the full length of the road twice, looking for a better spot. I actually was a fair ways down Rt. 50, haven given up on tagging there when turned around and went back.

I really need to make a GPX file with all the tags so the GPS knows about them...

ETA: Be -really- careful about gravel on the road in the corners. I hit a bit in the apex of a corner leaned over pretty good with oncoming traffic and a the rear end got really sloppy. I wasn't pushing it much otherwise it might have ended badly.

Not today. I was up and down Snickersville and all around, but not on 15.
