Nice job. Funny, I stopped and read that marker the other day and the one next to it also.

'Twas around 50 miles one way, SB12!

Somewhat in the WIND, yesterday; however, warm, sunny, calm weather predicted for this weekend.

Go get it (if one or those western Tag-o-rama participants doesn't beat you to it!).

I was just commenting on the vine.

I didn't even check the clues. Now I'll have to.

EDIT: Nice! Only problem is I'm heading Northwest.

When you get back from your Northwest Passage, you need no clues. Just ride around 'til you come across this pasture, this tree, these horses, this fence, and--you'll find Ali!

Grab. 2:30 pm.

Ashland Farm
Near Warrenton on Lee Highway (U.S. 211)
at Holtzclaw Road (Route 681)

Since there were not takers, I trekked west this pm. Found this spot, which looked like it could be it. But where can Ali be?

Really? I have to go down there to get that?

Gator rescue accomplished:

Now to figure out where to go. . ..

Ali and Chili had a discussion. Tag to follow. . ..

Well, here's what happened. Ali said he'd always wished to be in the movies. I asked "why?" Ali replied that those florida gators get all the girls. "Sorry," I told Ali. Let me see what I can do. . ..

So, I asked what kind of film do you have in mind? Ali said he'd always admired films like How the West Was Won, but I told him that we couldn't get him in a film like that on such short notice, and, in any event, we needed to stay in the state. I said it would be easier to find a role if he'd work for "free", but Ali said no way. I said "jeez, what about that movie with the shark named Bruce, the one pictured in post 7528? Would you like to be in the sequel to that movie? There are aquatic creatures in that film, seems like it might be a good fit." Ali asked if the film was made by George Marshall, but I said no, it was by Pixar. Resigned that this was not going to be easy, Ali mounted up for the ride.

And that was that. I got Ali as close as I could to the place and adjoining road with names strikingly similar to the name of that Pixar film. We ended up here:

But given that Sunday may be busy here, we looked in the other direction (look especially at the yellow sign between the tank bag and mirror that you can just see in this pic):

From the sign:

Ali slumbers at the base of the sign, marked by the cigar tube (I probably should have used a stick and buried the neon cylinder -- more natural. . ..):

And the hide:

Happy tagging!

Most splendid grab 'n' tag, NVR!

Yet I wonder, where were the intrepid WESTERNERS?

They had their chance!
