That was me on the red XR600 who waved to you as you were walking away from the sign. I had a feeling in the back of my mind..."that must be an adv'er picking up a tag". After I passed you I pulled over to check this thread on my phone and didn't see any reference to that road. I was temped to turn back and poke around the intersection for but I figured it must be a local out and about. This has to be a first within the NoVa tag game - too funny. This was taken about 5 minutes before bumping into you. I took the afternoon off and enjoyed the gravelly parts of Fauquier and Loudoun. Gorgeous day to say the least.

As the road you took was marked private (or at least I thought it was), I figured you owned one of those mansions! Too funny!

You couldnt have known I was there. When I'm out on the bike I tend to wander, especially when I find dirt roads. Be careful temping me....... I may be an "asshole" and move it southwest again. :lol

Yeah, so I"ve heard. I would hope it doesn't happen again . . . since this is a "family oriented tag" and not all families would find that kind of gator transformation amusing.

Hey now,,,, before we start jumping to conclusions,,,,,, UPSTATE NY,,,, above the I-90 parallel. I've been know to push the limits of the tag games a time or two, but I wouldn't take the mascot to NY and drop it off. I love a good prank though and thought the antics a couple weeks ago were hilarious. As I said then,,, tag games are just for fun!!

Grab!
My iPhone decided to die( out of juice) so no pics yet. Had to use my backup camera! I met up with my riding buddy Sail2xxs and we decided to go after Ali. So we took off from downtown DC and headed east. We found a quick way out of the city, but then got jammed up on some traffic in the route 28 area. We did finally make it out and down 66 and headed out towards the Plains and the Marshall area. It was a very nice night, a little windy, but not bad. Though we could feel the temperatures slowly decline as we headed out. I didn't realize it, but the way we went there ended up being marked a private road, we didn't let that slow us down, and we cruised down the really nice one lane dirt/gravel road. I ended up encountering a gaggle of raccoons. The darned things kept coming out of the road side grass and charging down the narrow road right into my path. WTF I thought, suicidal raccoons, just what I needed. it seemed like that they kept coming. I must have counted 6 or more of them. I avoided all of the four legged bandits, except for one, who I clipped with my rear wheel. Wow, what a weird occurrence. I never saw that many in one place. Now we continued through a farm, I wasn't exactly sure where we were going, I was just following the GPS, but I swear we went right through a barn yard as we worked our way down the road. So we finally made, only to find that after one or two photo's with my phone, the dang thing died. It was about 50% charged before I left. I once again thought, WTF, what's up with this? First suicidal raccoons, and now a dead iPhone - great. So I went with my backup plan, my good ol waterproof and shockproof camera. Finally, after digging though the grass, we found Ali! ![]() Smitten Farm at Old Carters Mill Rd and Training Barn Road. ![]() Ali was exceptionally excited to see me! So the little croc decided to crawl up on my bike. ![]() Ali was hungry, so we took off for some eats. We decided to get Ali before eating! LOL

See, tin cans and string, no batteries needed. . ..
![]() Kudos on the grab, especially if after dark. Route was on the narrow side, a few elevation changes, and a wee bit slick. . .. ![]()
