At least something got posted. Great ride today. TH left early and headed back north at Ladysmith. I'm still on the road and will check out one more place near Culpeper before returning home. Its great having a bike again.

Tag! Details, finally!

I found Ali, right where the Ali was supposed to be! Right at the fire station. Ali was hungry, when isn't Ali hungry! So I met up with some other motorcycle riding folk and Ali promptly joined in and helped us eat.

Ali can't read, but still wanted to look at the menu.

And here is Ali trying to get my pancakes!

Ali really found the Clara Barton story very interesting and wanted to learn more about the Civil War, there is a place I was at a few years ago down my some place named after a type of Oak tree. It was also a Stafford Research Center. It turned out that mriderleon was heading that way, so Ali and I tagged along.

We quickly found the road and then found the museum. Place is open 10 to 5 Wednesday through Sunday. So as luck would have it, we took a few minutes and wandered around the museum and grounds.

They had some recreations of the temporary camping creations the soldiers used to make.

They also had a nice one set up inside the museum, there are a lot of interesting artifacts in this museum, including a pile of 60,000 civil war bullets taken from the battlefields in our NOVA area.

Here is a more detailed recreation of a campsite from inside the museum.

Some wooden headstones.

And finally, Ali is at the front entrance tucked under a pillar. It is the pillar in front of my trusty red Sprint.

Another photo of Ali's hiding spot.

Ali's nose is barely peaking out in this one.

Ok, to make this a bit easier, this marker is in front of the museum. Find this marker, you will be real close to Ali. Ali would be on the other side of the building, as seen in the previous pictures.

Happy Tagging!

It was a great day today, over 200 miles of riding, a fine day indeed!

It was a great day indeed! Ali truly enjoyed your company.

Great riding with you and I hope you satisfactorily complete your research and miss the rain.

Grab:
White Oak Museum
985 White Oak Road, Falmouth, VA 22405

Across the street from the White Oak Church. This one was on the southeast end of the boundary line and a nice ride out there since I avoided 95.

Ali looked like a bored school child after spending the night at this historic site so we decided to have some fun. Ali suggested visiting Lake Anna. "But Ali, that is outside the boundaries and being a noob to this game, I don't want to risk getting bashed on some interweb forum." "Ah, come on. Live a little. We can always find a tag within the boundaries tomorrow" Ali said. With my arm twisted in an alligator roll, I couldn't resist.

Ali wanted to play some water volleyball but as it turns out, Ali just sinks to the bottom. So he had to watch from the cup holder.

I didn't have time to tag so Ali will get to enjoy the comfort of the indoors tonight. Look for a tag tomorrow.

AAAARRRRGGGGHHHHHHH!

There was a telltale single track in the gravel when I arrived, and I was greeted by this:

Le Bruce. . ..

But I did have a nice ride through eastern Fredericksburg to Dahlgren and up 301. . ..

Nice grab HG, look forward to tomorrow's tag!

I was wondering if this one was going to rest for awhile. Especially since it is in a low tag area!

Ali wanted to go to a place with a little bit of heritage. I said I knew a place but they will not be opening until later this year. Doesn't matter, lets go.

If you look across the parking lot there is a row of trees along a fence. Ali is at the base of the tree that is in line with my handlebars in the next photo.

Ali is buried at the base of the tree under the Center Point of the A.

I was just out in that general area a few minutes ago! Now I have to decide if I want to go back out and brave the potential rain or drink a nice cold beer. Decisions! Decisions! Decisions!

Did you guys contribute to their Kickstarter campaign?? Looking forward to their products. I have not heard good things about the currently open competitor that is close by.

I've been busy all weekend with various issues and honey do's. Some unexpected too. But with such great weather today, I can't believe this is still not grabbed!

Ali will be going to the red light district, sometime today.

Well since Ali had a very lonely weekend. I thought that Ali needed a nice drive into my work today, so I called Ali and asked Ali if Ali wanted a ride into work. Ali responded with a "heck yes!, I'm tired of sleeping under this mulch.

So I took a detour on my way in to work and found Ali.

Heritage Brewing
9436 Center Point Lane
Manassas, VA

I turned my head and before I knew it, Ali was making a beeline for the door. Seems like Ali wanted some brew!

It's closed you silly croc!

"We'll, if I can't get some brew, then I want to feel the wind in my teeth!"

I had just the idea, I don't think Ali liked it, but I couldn't really understand the poor little beast either. Ali sounded like Ali's mouth was full.

So off to my work we went!

Ali is going to help me straighten out our IT folk out. Our network went down over the weekend and its not back up yet. I sure hope Ali knows how to nip those folk so they get our network up!
