So after a fine lunch at El Vaquero West (I recommend it. Great food at KLR friendly prices), Ali decided to do a little reading. Fine, said I, I know where there is a nice regional library not too far away. My buddy James Madison will show us the way.

Well, once we got to the library, Ali decided all that food had her wanting to take a siesta. So Ali decided to go behind this tree on the edge of the parking lot for a nice LONG nap in this PARK. Maybe a game of tennis or soccer upon waking.

Sorry the pics are out of order, my phone is being stupid today.

Grab, at James S. Long Park, Haymarket VA. (38.850729,-77.63201)

I found Ali nestled inside the clump of small trees. The leaf covering Ali up was blown away, which was kind of a good thing because I wasn't sure if Ali was on the outside or inside of the clump and was able to spot Ali easily:

Ali said "I'm HONGRY! That combination plate at El Vaquero West wore off a long time ago!". BTW I fully agree with the endorsement for that establishment, have you tried their Chile Verde? Outstanding...

So, Ali got to partake in Sunday breakfast with the family. Needs to cut back on the syrup a bit though, ya'think?

Tag: Being as it was a little on the warm side today, Ali wanted to head out west a ways, roughly about 18 miles (not as the crow flies) west and a tad to the south, where it might be a little cooler, but also nice and quiet since all the good food had him feeling lethargic. So given these requirements, it was a bear of a time finding a place that would allow him to wallow around with a full belly. But eventually an idea sprang to mind and we shot out of the gate like a cannonball.

Ali is near the base of a stone gatepost (or whatever these things are called) near the intersection of two roads alluded to in the last two sentences of the above paragraph. The two roads have three-digit numbers that total to 15 and 16. The pair of gateposts is technically on the road named after an Ursidae in the act of rolling about or lying relaxed in mud or water. Folks who've been in a particular branch of the ARMed services might know of a training compound farther down that road that has a sign on one entrance that "bears" the name of the fictional country club in the movie "Caddyshack". And it is one hell of a fun little road. :)

Since that ought to be more than enough to get you to this intersection area, here are the details:

Here's Ali settling in:

Duly covered and marked:

The location is triangulated by the stone gatepost, a utility pole, and a sign:

Ride to hide: In the picture below, Ali's wallowing place is just to the right of my right rear turn signal:

Hide to ride:

The gatepost in question is the one on the left of the pair:

Here's a shot from the other direction:

And if one were to cross the intersection to the west and look back to the east, this is what you'd see - the gatepost in question is directly above my windscreen:

Thanks. It was the earlier reference to El Vaquero West that got me motivated

Yessir. It's been seeing lots of commuting toil in its first few hundred miles so it was nice to get it out for some more pleasurable riding.

By the way that is a totally cool kustom khaki paint job on your 'strom!
