Xdrag, very nice grab! I warned of the gravel because if you carry speed from the road and make the right, it is a big surprise. . ..

Look forward to the tag!

Fortunately, I grabbed Ali before the deluge.

I have riding-in-the-rain credit from a day in Monongahela National Forest, near Green Bank, WV, last month!

Regarding the new tag; I expect to be released for this mission within hours. A preview of the proposed tag site:

Somehow, NCIS is a popular TV series. While set dramatically with Washington, DC, headquarters, the schtick obviously is written, and probably taped, in California. How do I know this?

In CA, Interstate highways are always referred to as, "the," followed by the roadway's numbers. For example, Interstate 405 would be called, "the 405."

Here in the mysterious east, by contrast, Interstate 95 is known as, "I 95," or even "Interstate 95."

True script story: Brilliant NCIS crime-stoppers investigate deaths of two Navy-associated murder victims, their bodies found serially (having drank themselves to death, with WATER), near the "xxxxxxxxxxx State Park toll booth on the 95." [Again, I'm NOT making this up; this script actually aired on one of the regular NCIS programs.]

Well, an actual xxxxxxxxxxx State Park exists, but despite its name, it's NOT the location where a historic Virginia family manufactured light bulbs.

And, while this park is nowhere near any exit or notional toll booth on, "the 95," an actual "xxxxxxxxxxxx State Park toll booth" may exist.

There, before sunset, Ali will repose, if all my plans succeed!

Oh, yes; might be a little far for a midnight ride after work tonight, SB12!

Watch this space for images.

If I heard someone around here referred to 95 as "the 95," I'd immediately make a call to the DHS and report a possible terrorist.

Tag, at "phantom" tollbooth:

Come quickly to grab; minimum cover and concealment, and . . . I think I was observed as I tagged.

Park closed at night, but . . . location shown accessible 24/7 . . . I think! At least, the grabber won't have to pay the $ 3 admission charge, if he ventures no farther!

One inmate, at least, has solved the location already.

Another, however, appears stumped.

Since Ali is rather exposed, perhaps I'd better add/refine clues, helping insure an early grab, so Ali doesn't fall into unauthorized hands.

O.K.

If William Penn had invented the light bulb, then formed a company (named, "Sylvania") to manufacture and to market the product, might not a state be named, "Pennsylvania?"

If the Lee family of Virginia had done the same thing, what might the area of their enterprise be called? And what might a nearby State Park be named?

Still too vague and obscure?

Then, consider: Ali is located on a peninsula extending into a Potomac estuary, whose lee side is bordered by sylvan greenery . . .

Now, contrary to the TV version, the toll booth of interest is NOT proximate to, "the 95." Rather, it's off another major highway; this one named for a President, although not of the United States; intersected by a Drive named for Virginia's state bird, eastward of the intersection, this roadway changes its name as it crosses the highway named for the former President, who was at one time America's Secretary of War, if I remember correctly. Continue eastward on this renamed road, and Ali will be found at the toll booth, down a Drive named for a man whose last name is the first of a famous German composer (who wrote, "the Fifth"), about 3/8 miles away, to your right.

Can't miss it!

Had a very nice conversation with the attendant, but she declined to have her photo taken. . ..
Very nice tag, XDrag. Another place I never knew existed.

And marked with an "A", like so:

The clues:
Ali was puzzled by the toll booth idea. I let him know that sometimes you have to pay to ride. He wanted to go to a place where that would have to happen, and I found and ez way to get there fast. For ez access, Jones Branch or Westpark are your friends. . ..

Happy Tagging!

Appreciate the kind words!

Reconciling clues, CARDINAL (name of VA's State Bird) DRIVE crosses JEFFERSON DAVIS (President of the Confederate States of America, and once US Secretary of War) HIGHWAY, becoming Neabsco Road as it wends eastward, intersecting Daniel K. LUDWIG (as in, Ludwig Beethoven) DRIVE.

"Pennsylvania" means, "Penn's Woods," maybe "Leesylvania" means, "Lee's Woods." And, most of us older inmates know of, "Sylvania" light bulbs.

Nice grab; hope the tag is safe from the forthcoming floods!

Here I am less than a mile from the spot, and I had to drive the cage today. :(
