CCI Mini Mag copper jacket 40gr. I find it from $6 - $7.50 per box of hundred. I shoot it in my 10/22. About 700 rounds not a single FTE or FTF. Picked up some Winchester last week that I haven't shot yet but it was a bit cheaper, got it from Dick's Sporting goods in a bulk package. It was 2000 rounds for something like $98.00. 40gr also.

Just picked up these two from a friend of mine, along with 1250 rounds of 17 hm2

17 Hm2 Volquartsen ; not many of them like this out there:

17 Hm2 Volquartsen carbon barrel, and internals (trigger, and etc):

Both barrels are threaded for a suppressor.

Laugh Polish M48

I read through some of the posts here and did a search , I could not find anybody with a Polish M48 . My local gun shop got 5 of them a year ago, all in excellent condition, each time I went in I would note one less in the display cabinet and I think, I want one of these. Well, Saturday I went to get some supplies at the gun shop armed with some Christmas money I seen that there was just one left in the cabinet and thought its now or never.

What I really like about it is its size, It is as large and heavy as a Mouser 98 or Mosin-Nagant 91/30 but shoots .22lr.

After getting it home I tore it down and found it to be all numbers matching and in near perfect condition, I found some wear in the feed and extractor assembly that cleaned up nice .

I only ran two rounds through it, but it is just sweet to shoot.

The bitch is, the snow is way to deep at the range for some distance shooting. I plan to use this gun for a .22 league next summer.

This is the first pistol I bought on the day I turned 21. I'm actually shocked that I haven't sold it, like so many other nice guns that I've had.

Thank You...

After posting that I went to the beginning of the thread and went to post 1700. What a cool thread.

I want to also put up that I have a CZ 452 FS in 17HRM that I enjoy greatly.

This fun this gun has given me pushed me over the cliff on buying the M48

I did get some raised eyebrows when asked how much i paid for it, I got $25 off MSRP and was happy about it, But when you see and shoot it, It is incredible !

A very accurate sight

Now it might come up in later posts, I had a friend when I was a youngster, that had a Winchester 94-22 I have not seen one here or at gun shows, Are they that Rare ?

I have that rifle in the 455 .22 LR version and I like it a lot.

I also have the 452 with the 28-inch barrel and the military sights...

I am a big fan of the rimfires. I was on the range at sunup this morning with the two above rifles and I had a great time. I really like that Polish trainer you have, though. If I could find one like it I would buy it. Yours looks to be in exceptionally good condition. I have the Springfield M1922 (a Springfiield training rifle in .22 LR) that is is another awesome military trainer.

I don't know about the relative scarcity of the Winchester 9422, but in general, I would take a Marlin lever action (not the new ones, but one actually made by Marlin before Remington bought them) over a Winchester.

I wouldn't worry about others' opinions of what you pay for a good rifle. Prices continue to climb on quality firearms and yours are definitely in that category.

I like the Mannlicher style a lot. This is a much older 10/22 some might think I paid too much for but when I saw the wood, price became relatively unimportant. This one is very accurate.

I bought a barreled action .30 06 S&W (Howa) about 30 years ago and stocked it myself with cherry wood. I did a Mannlicher stock with a copy of Ruger's Alex Henry fore end. This one sees a lot of use. I bedded the action and floated the barrel, and it is extremely accurate just using the iron sights.

My next project is going to be a Howa .375 Ruger action with the short 20-inch barrel (if I can find one) and I will stock it in the same style. I will probably go for a medium grade Circassian walnut if I can find a blank at a decent price. I am very impressed with the .375 Ruger cartridge and Howa makes an excellent rifle. It will make a great hog gun (although the .30-06 above does pretty well, too).

Very nice collection, That 10/22 is beutiful, how old is it ?

I need to break out my snowshoes for the range right now, so I am relegated to winter trap,

Could you put a picture of the M1922 up, I love these old military trainers.

Thanks for your kind words.

I believe this particular 10/22 is from the 60's. I will dig the M1922 out of the safe in the next few days and post a photo. It is a pretty cool rifle.
