Took the P22 to the range today. Lots of misfeeds, will definately look into the mods that need to be done.
I can't complain about the accuracy though, this is from about 5-7 yards out with the first 2 mags I ran through it. ![]() ![]() Plus it's fun as hell to shoot.

Went to my local Academy sporting goods store this morning for ammo. The only .22lr they had was CCI mini mags in the 100 round pack. Price was $6 or $7 so I bought one of those, 100 round pack of .40, and a 20 round box of .223. Before the store opened the manager came out with a list of inventory and took requests so that when we got inside they would just hand us what we requested.
Had an interesting chat with him. He said that they are receiving the same, if not more amount of ammo they have been receiving since before the craze. Their buyers are purchasing all they can, but the demand is just so high that they can't keep up. Basically if people would stop stashing the stuff, this wouldn't be happening. I mentioned that I am the type to have some ammo on hand, but I usually stop at the store on my way to the range to pick up ammo, or whenever I plan on shooting. But now because I never know when I will be able to find the stuff, I have to start stocking up. He mentioned they had this problem a few years ago with .380. They just couldn't keep the stuff on the shelf. After awhile the sales started dropping, and they had inventory again. He said it took a few months though, I can imagine it will be the same here.

![]() I think 3 ball XXX shot or .45 long colt or 3" 1/4 or 1/5 oz hollowpoint rifled slugs I use will do the job. The slugs have a muzzle velocity of 1800fps. I really don't think penetration is an issue. Look up the Snake Slayer's vids on youtube before you pass judgement. Also the 2-1/2 or 3" PDX Defender round is pretty sweet

Love it....I think I am the only one on the planet that does not like the 10/22. I have an OLD one and it still shoots great.

most of the tests you probably watched were from a judge, not a derringer. "also the 2-1/2 or "3 PDX Defender round is pretty sweet" I would rather carry a caliber that is proven to have reliable penetration than to have one that "is pretty sweet". oh wait, this is a rimfire thread...

Oh for fucks sake
If you insist on being right I concede I have a Judge too, another baby gun I reckon. I appreciate your concern for my safety. I think I'll stop riding now too.

Always liked those. I love tube magazines and the clean look. I passed on one about a year ago. ($125) I think it was stamped "Western Auto" 99% sure it's the same firearm.

Your not the only one. My friend has a 10/22 and I've shot it twice. I think the 10/22 is a POS in comparison to the Marlin. I'm sure everyone will say the 10/22 is a great gun but in comparisson to the Marlin it doesn't feel or shoot as nice to me. It does cost more though and I'm sure you can dump money into it to make it better. Bone stock I still like the Marlin best.

![]() at the end of the day, the smaller gun you carry is always better than the big gun you leave at home. hell, i carry a 9mm, there's plenty of (ignorant) people who dismiss the lethality of this caliber too. don't take it so personal. a 100 yard group out of my 10/22. yeah, not great but the shots were in quick succession after i just installed my scope. on bags, or in a rig, i believe i could get 1 moa out of it.... and before you say i'm crazy, there isn't a piece on my 10/22 that's stock except for the receiver.
