That intersection is just a few miles from, and on the way to, some property I own.

Not really planning on taking it anywhere where I'd need a skid plate. I've got a WR250R for that kind of riding. That's not to say plans may change in the future, but for now the Super Tenere is for traveling and exploring, not bashing through the rough stuff.

Gotta say the more I ride it, the more I like it. This morning's ride was 200+ miles and I was grinning the whole time Just turned 6k miles, so I rewarded it with an oil change when I got home this afternoon.

*edit - sorry forgot the mod list:

None. It's bone stock

Well . . . almost. I wired it up for my Warm 'n Safe heated gear and installed heated grips, but that's it.

The bags are Micatech. Love 'em to death.

It is the home of a former 1912 Olympian who was born in Oklahoma.

Gee, that helps a lot, half the towns in this state claim him.

It is something to go on though.

Logan County. The intersection of Indian-Meridian and county road 74 (E0740 RD), on the southeastern side Langston.

RogerWilco screwed with this post 03-27-2012 at 11:54 AM Reason: added the "E0740 RD", for those so inclined

I had no idea where it was before Sunday morning. I just googled obelisk in Oklahoma and looked through the images until I found one that looked similar, then went to that webpage and found out where they took the photo. Jump on google earth to verify, and voila . . . Langston it is

You could have saved yourself a lot of trouble if you had just cruised up and down every single road within the boarders of District 2, in Logan County, but I guess you wanted to do it the hard way.
