BMW R1200GS Fuel Pump Bypass Cable
As per this thread: http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=57153
Occassionally, on BMW hexhead motorcycles, water can leak into the fuel pump controller causing it to fail, blocking power to the fuel pump, leaving you stranded. This cable bypasses the failed controller and connects the fuel pump to an accessory power socket allowing the bike to start and run. We recommend connecting the accessory port directly to the battery and that it is fused. The stock accessory port has a 5 amp limit and the fuel pump can trip the canbus virtual fuse with it's greater than 5 amp draw. To install the cable you need to carry a T-20 Torx socket in your tool kit. I'll be fabricating a bypass cable of various sizes and will have it available in 2 weeks, along with a website link for you to purchase. Please show me how much interest there is so that I can order parts to supply the demand. Thanks! All Cables in Stock. Now Taking Orders. http://www.burnsmoto.com ![]() Instruction Video...

Fuel pump by-pass
I would be a customer. Thanks for the desire to create and share a "fix" for this.

I'm in, BMW power plug.
How's about a nice case to keep the beer in my panniers from beating it to death? Just kiddin', got a nice slot in the toolkit picked out for it.

I'll take one blue plug pump end with long wires for an 08 Adventure. I have a spare BMW plug for my powerlet end.
Paypal or check, let us know when and where to send how much? I have already had this failure and both times the bike restarted, and it is not a good feeling having the bike die like you have hit the kill switch. Hope you get enough interest to make you some money for your time and effort. TIA.
